Eureka!

Steve narrated how he got to the position he is today. It's usually said that "to become a man is never a day job". His Mum left him and his 3 siblings while he was 6 years of age. Steve's Dad was a civil servant in the public service. His monthly salary could barely cater for his need and family. Steve's mum was more like the financial backbone of the family since she was a senior public servant in the military before her demise.

Steve's Mum died of on the 7th day after her delivery. On the seventh day, there were preparations made in place for her child's naming ceremony. When it was 3hours before the expected ceremony was to commence, she suddenly started bleeding continuously till she lost touch of her sanity and became unconscious due to excessive loss of blood. She was rushed to the general hospital before she took her last breathe.

After the demise of Steve's mum, things became very tough that Steve and his siblings withdrew from school. The father could hardly pay their school fee and the landlord was already asking for his yearly rent. Steve's Late Mum collected a loan from a microfinance bank to buy a land without her husband's knowledge and consent, she used the land she bought as a collateral. She wanted doing this as a surprise for her husband but never knew she will not live to see her baby being named. Things became so unbearable for Steve and his siblings. The father fell sick six months later and passed away when Steve was 7year old. Ever-since then, Steve and his siblings decided to live with their paternal uncle. He was so nice to them but was a bachelor and at the verge of getting engaged and married.

His Uncle had to suspend his marriage plans till 4years later when the children would have been more mature because he understood their nature and wouldn't want them to be maltreated by any woman. So when Steve was age 10, he started working as a roadside mechanic and later got connected to work with a multimillionaire boss who employed him to the lowest rank among his staffs. His salary was quite little, yet he saved more money that he could use to get a rented apartment of his own because of his siblings. He was purposeful and diligent. He got to understand the mechanic work even more than most of the certified professionals who worked with his boss. He rented his apartment when he became 11year old and struggled all through to cater for himself and his siblings. He was consistent and persistent. He was able to use his salary gotten from his mechanic work to sponsored his siblings through primary, secondary and tertiary institution till the moment there were able to stand fit on their own. Despite, this, Steve couldn't go to school till age 30.

His siblings grew to become very successful than he was and he became despised by them due to his untidy looks and poor grammatical fluency. Non of his siblings wanted to associate themselve with him except the last born, Smith. Due to how industrious, commitment, consistent and diligent Steve has been over the years, his boss who has been observing him closely decided to compensate him on his birthday and made him to head one of his industrial branches. He gave him $50,000, an official house and a car. He also chose an assistant for Steve and gave him study leave to further his education. Steve was 43 years of age when he graduated as a mechantronic engineer from Harvard University. He became the best graduating student of his set and was awarded diverse professional scholarships and award of Excellence.

Steve's Joyous Moment

This made him screened so loud that "I got it!", tears of joy dripped down his eyes and he became more famous than his siblings. He became a very successful man and decided to move into politics. He's currently contesting as one of the senators of his state today, meanwhile, his boss reinstalled him and made him the 2nd in command to him in his firm. This gave the company more recognition than most of their competitors out there as they got more clients than they've ever did.

Today, Steve's siblings and uncle are proud of him. Those that doesn't want to associate themselves with him when he was nothing, are now lobbying to become his worker and friends. Such is life.

I wonder the level of gladness that encapsulated the mind of Steve when his boss promoted him. The shout of acclamation accompanied with the tears of joy, "Eureka" was made known from his speech and reaction. It was indeed, an affirmation of greatness.

Lesson

Never underestimate anyone in Life as no body knows tomorrow. The tears and acclamation of joy and victory took over Steve. What an "Eureka!"

Life is a cycle, so do to others what you want them do to you. Live life cautiously and never make others feel worthless due to your level of achievements but rather be supportive because you never can tell the next height of greatness the other could attain maybe yours is just their starting point.

I want to use this medium to appreciate @calumam for this initiative and wish to invite interested #hiveans to be part of this weekly contest.

This is my entry to the #POB Word of the Week Challenge, an initiative of @calumam.

Thank you for your time and do have a wonderful moment

One Love from @daniky

Indeed this is something worth reading over and over again. Steve deserved all what he ended up getting. His resilience is something to reckon with. Am glad he made it after all.

Great lesson to learn from this... Lets always hope and work deligently for the future. Anything and everything is possible. And above all, we should never look down on anybody

What a story!
It's sad that there's actually a society where children orphaned at the young age of 11 can be left on the streets to fend for themselves.
Thank God Steve didn't let his situation weigh him down.
It's a very inspiring writing

That's what motivated me about Steve. He never look at how young he was. He took a bold step of getting a shelter for him and his siblings. Many Orphanages today hardly houses children of 11years and above as most of them are being adopted at a younger age. Thanks for reading through and meaningful comment @hillarypowers

Funny siblings, why despise the very person that sacrificed all for you?

I'm glad that fate eventually smiled on Steve.

His mockers would be looking for how to relate with him.

A interesting story

This show the nature of how today's life has been. Had it Steve wasn't promoted, awarded and given a study leave by his boss, there are likelihoods he might have died in frustration and penury. The law of nature took its course as he got favoured and famous later on. Thank you for the meaningful feedback @mmykel
