Timeliness, a Key to Success // Puntualidad, clave del éxito

#HiveisAlive, today have been a working day. Five working day is a culture in Nigeria from Monday to Friday while Saturdays and Sundays are declared to be a work free day. I thank God for the life and strength He has given me and you despite the pandemic.

#HiveisAlive, hoy ha sido un día laborable. Cinco días laborables es una cultura en Nigeria de lunes a viernes, mientras que los sábados y domingos se declaran como días libres de trabajo. Doy gracias a Dios por la vida y la fuerza que nos ha dado a mí y a ti a pesar de la pandemia.

There was an official meeting i had with a boss of mine. She's a very principled person who never jokes with time. Knowing this, i had to make sure i got set an hour before time and embark on my journey to where I'm supposed to meet with her, but the reverse was the case when i could hardly get a taxi to convey me towards my direction for over an hour. Instead, most taxis were heading towards other directions, so i got late to the venue of the meeting. One thing i did that saved me was the fact that i sent a text message to my boss ahead of time. Though i later couldn't meet with her but the meeting time was postponed till another time.

Tuve una reunión oficial con un jefe mío. Es una persona de principios que nunca bromea con el tiempo. Sabiendo esto, tuve que asegurarme de estar listo una hora antes de la hora y embarcarme en mi viaje hacia donde se supone que debo reunirme con ella, pero sucedió lo contrario cuando apenas pude conseguir un taxi que me llevara hacia mi dirección. por casi una hora. En cambio, la mayoría de los taxis se dirigían hacia otras direcciones, así que llegué tarde al lugar de la reunión. Una cosa que hice que me salvó fue el hecho de que le envié un mensaje de texto a mi jefe antes de tiempo. Aunque más tarde no pude reunirme con ella, la hora de la reunión se pospuso para otro momento.

Timeliness is a key to success. It takes discipline for one to be timely. One big lesson I've learnt is to be prepared ahead of my schedules and ensure i never get to a venue 5 minutes before or after the scheduled time. Lots of people had lost vita opportunities due to the lack of timeliness. Punctuality is regarded as the soul of business.

La puntualidad es la clave del éxito. Se necesita disciplina para ser oportuno.
