dCrops - Fall Season Started and XMas event ending in 7 days
Fall Season for dCrop has begun. There are 15 days left in the season. I have 6 seed that I am able to plant for Fall - 2 Garlic, 2 Carrot and 2 Pumpkin.
Each season I purchase a mystery seed for 40 CROP tokens. It is the first thing I plant before anything else. This season the mystery seed turned into a Garlic Seed.
On the market, a Garlic seed would cost 237 CROP tokens or 0.720 Hive. Since I paid 40 CROP tokens for the mystery seed, I saved 197 CROP tokens by using this strategy this season. The more I save the more I can use to build my holdings in the game.
An important note to remember: Always reset your quests as the very first action each season. If you do not, any actions taken prior to resetting will not count toward progress on any of the quests.
Since I had two Garlic seed at the beginning of the season and was awarded another one with the mystery seed, I will be able to complete the "Plant 3 Garlic Seeds" quest once I harvest and plant my remaining Garlic seed. Which will help me also complete the "Harvest 3 Garlic crops" quest.
To my surprise, there are still over 7 days left in the Xmas Event.
I have earned a total of 238 Candy Canes that I can use toward items in the Event Shop.
I was leaning toward getting one of the presents which cost 250 candy canes but when I started looking at what was left to be included in the "Present" of the Sponsor Prizes there are only two items left - 50 WOO tokens or 5 AFIT tokens.
I was thinking that I would like the WOO tokens but not the AFIT. This I noticed there is only a 25% chance of getting the Sponsor Prize when opening a "Present"
The rest of the chances are:
25% chance - 1 to 50 CROP tokens
20% chance - 1 Golden Ticket (I would not want this since I would not be able to win more to redeem)
25% chance - 1 Random NFT from dcrops.events collection (there are many, many NFT available below are just a few of them that might be awarded)
Then I remembered that I had only earned 238 candy canes so far. A little short of the 250 needed for a present. I know the event ends in 7 days and 15 hours and my first crop will not be ready for harvest until another almost 7 days. This will be cutting it very close for me to earn the last 12 candy canes needed to redeem for a "Present".
If I can't get the "Present", I will redeem for four of the mystery seed since they are 50 candy canes each I would be spending 40 Crop at the beginning of each season to get one. This would save me at least another 160 Crop tokens.
I am hoping I will be able to time it out to get the "Present" but I have my backup plan in place in case I do not.
