Motivational Monday - Start with Yourself

There are so many times that I hear people complaining about what is going on in the world, complaining about politics in their area, or what someone else is doing that they do not like.

At those times, I think of a saying by Mahatma Gandhi about setting the world right. It needs to start with ourselves.

Instead of complaining or looking at what everyone else is doing wrong, how about taking a look inward and seeing if we ourselves are acting up to what our expectations of others may be.

As Mahatma Gandhi says, it is best to start with Yourself.

I try to remind myself of this whenever I think of what's not ideal or right in the world. We do want to be part of the solution, instead of the problem. That's easier said, though. There's a lot of wrong in the world that it will take more than one person or even one community to fix. I still hope we all do our part in making the world a better place for everyone. So true there is a lot wrong in the world that one person would not be able to fix it by themselves. As long as we all do our part, the world will be a better place. Take care.
