POBphotocontest - Rivers: Colorado River

In the Central Texas hill country is an area called the Highland Lakes. It is named this because of the Colorado River that runs through the area on which dams have been placed to create lakes on the river.

In these photos is the section of the Colorado River that is also called the LBJ Lake (London Baines Johnson). The small community of houses in the first photo is Twin Isles. Across the river in the distance is the Sunrise Beach community. There are several small communities which has established themselves along the River shore.

The Colorado River meanders through this valley far into the distance.
