Progress Update - 2K HP Reached - Are you prepared for future Inflation?

Last week, I talked about knowing the purpose for creating your plan. Since I am now retired, mine purpose is to have a bucket of money that will produce a steady stream of passive income later in my retirement years.

The reason I have this purpose is due to inflation. It has been extremely high this year all over the world. I need to ensure that my money keeps up with the pace of inflation so that I do not have to cut my quality of life as I grow older.

I feel that accumulating Hive and select 2nd Layer Hive Engine tokens will achieve this purpose. By creating this emergency fund and making sure that it is producing at a nice rate through author and curation rewards, I will be able to stay ahead of the inflation rate that impacts my living expenses.

Hive Target

I am targeting 2,500 Hive Power by the end of the year. Today, I reached 2000 HP and increase of 36 from last week. I need 500 more HP to reach my goal by year end. There are 15 more weeks left in the year to add to my stack. This would be adding around 33.4 HP per week for the rest of the year.

Author and Curation Rewards

Hive earnings can be increased through author and curation rewards. My author rewards increased nicely over the past week to 43.79 HP from 36.6 HP. This is above the level of Author rewards I will need to make my goal of 2500 by end of year. This will provide a little breathing room and hopefully provide some additional funds to apply toward my 2nd Hive Engine Token goals.

This week I convert HBD to Hive and powered it up. I have found that I do this on a more frequent time period that just monthly it is easier to maintain and I do not use the funds for other reasons.

I am hoping that I can maintain the weekly earnings but understand I have no control over the voting value that I receive from others. I do however control my content creation which provides opportunity for others to upvote my content.

My 30 day Author rewards also increased to 153 from 122.61 last week.

My 7 day curation rewards is now almost 2.5 Hive per week moving to 2.46 from 2.17 last week.

Hive Account Growth

The trend line is looking nice in it's upward climb. I am hoping I can continue to maintain this rate of increase to my Hive Power.

Hive Curation

This is the sixth week in a row that my Hive curation APR is below my targeted range of 8% to 10% but it is showing improvement. It moved up to 7.81% from 7.44%. It is heading in the right direction and I am hoping that it is above 8% next week.

Hive Engine Tokens

These tokens that I have chosen have several use cases that are important to me. Here are my targets and progress for each of the specific tokens I have created a 2022 goal.

I received two new one month delegations of CTP and Alive tokens. This should help my curation rewards and move me closer to my year end goals.

CTP - 25,000 - current holding 18,805 (removed 4000 delegation-in)
75.2% of Goal

Alive - 20,000 - current holding 15,895 (removed 2000 delegation-in)
79.4% of Goal

OneUp - 20,000 - current holding 7,714
38.5% of Goal

LEO - 1,000 - current holding 393
39.3% of Goal

I added targets for POB and LEO tokens as well since I do a lot of engagement in those two communities.
