Progress Update - Don't Let News be a Distraction

This past week has supplied bucket loads of "Crypto News" that is grabbing everyone's attention. I found myself reading a lot of articles and notices that a lot of my time was taken up by this distraction.

For me to progress in my accumulation of crypto, I can not be spending time that could be better used doing my daily activity here on the Hive Blockchain. So one of the top 10 cryptos crashed and burned and Bitcoin has dropped to levels not seen in a while.

Should this matter to me? Maybe but there is nothing that I can do that will influence the price of crypto or prevent what occurred from happening again. But what I can do is accumulate more Hive and Hive Engine tokens so that when all is said and done and the market stabilizes and starts to improve, I am Ready.

Also, since I am not planning on cashing my crypto in during the near term - Price does not matter to me but growing my stack does.

Hive Target

I am targeting 2,500 Hive Power by the end of the year. It is a stretch but I will be having fun and trying to be as consistent all along the way. I figure if I can get there or nearly there by the end of the year, the following year I could target pushing the rest of the way to 5,000 Hive Power. Wouldn't that be nice to reach.

I currently have 908 HP, up 31 from last week. I am hoping to get as close to 1000 by the end of May. If I am going to reach 1000 by the end of May, I need to apply myself and power up each week until then. I have a little over two week to add 92 Hive Power.

Author and Curation Rewards

This week, I was able to increase my Author rewards to 30.23 from 19.93 last week. I want to continue doing this so that I can get closer to my goals. My 30 day Author rewards increased to 90.28 from 48.84.

However my curation rewards took a slight hit, sliding from 1.21 to 1.00. I am having more of my curation not reach the dust threshold mainly due to voting on comments. I will need to adjust my vote % or stop voting on comments and tip instead. However this would also impact my Hive Engine rewards which I am reluctant to do.

Hive Account Growth

My Author rewards are split 50/50 HP/HBD. I converted some of this HBD into Hive and powered it up this week to help with my voting value so that it will not deteriorate which has an impact on my curation rewards.

I will continue to do this until to get my vote value back to an acceptable level.

Hive Curation

My curation APR took another hit this week and dropped to 5.18% from 8% last week. I try to target a curation APR between 8 and 10%. I am taking steps of adding more hive power and adjusting my vote % to try and get this percentage back into that range.

Hive Engine Tokens

I am making progress with the various Hive Engine Tokens. I have targeted the below for specific tokens. I still have a ways to go but I am making good progress toward reaching my goals.

CTP - 25,000 - current holding 14,436 (removed 2000 delegation-in)
In my prior reports, I mistakenly included delegations in my total holdings which made it appear I was closer to my goal than I actually was. I have made the adjustment in my calculation.

Likewise with Alive holding: prior calculations included a delegation
