Small Changes vs Quantum-leap Changes

Quote about change behavior vs paradigms.PNG

I was looking through some of my books during the past several weeks and came across this saying.

"If you want small changes,
work on your behavior;

If you want quantum-leap changes,
work on your paradigms."

    - Stephen R. Covey

As you go thorough your life and realize "What Matters Most" and determine that something needs to change. Are you looking at small changes or do you really want to make really big changes?

Behavior is the way that a person behaves in a particular situation or under particular conditions.

Paradigm is the way an individual perceives, understands and interprets the surrounding world; a mental map.

Looking at these two words is becomes clear which one would have a greater impact on us. If you really would like change to happen in your life start looking at the way you perceive or understand your surrounding world and challenge those thoughs.

You may come to a realization that you have been having tunnel vision regarding how the world really operates and what you can do to make an impact up on it.

Do you really want to make a change? Then think bigger...

Indeed, that's quite accurate! Small shifts in perspective can radically change our experience of, well, everything! I know because I just experienced that! 😁🙏💚✨

I had to think about that quote for a minute. Once I understood, it is very appropriate. Thanks for sharing.

Mindset is super important to make real big progress. It is a more challenging shift to make too.

It is just harder to really step out of you comfort zone and make those really big changes.

Yeah, it sure is. Like jumping out of a plane without a parachute. Well, not as extreme but close.😂
And I've never even jumped out of a plane with a parachute.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, David.

I look at everything in a big picture kind of way. There is always more to every story.
Neal Armstrong said it best and I quote: One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind,

Looking at things in a wholistic manner is very important. Most can only look at things that make near term progress but looking out further into the future is critical
