Using Ecency to Improve Productivity
I use the mobile version of Ecency to help me when I am away from my desktop PC. It provides an easy way to access all of the great post on the Hive Platform. Any points you earn are in addition to your normal Hive crypto and/or Hive-Engine Tokens.
This is a great way to receive additional earnings from activity that you already perform with your daily content creation, commenting and curation. I took screen shots from the PC version so that the information would be larger and easier to read for this post.
Earning Points is Easy
There are lots of ways to earn Ecency points.
- Posting
- Commenting
- Curating/Voting
- Re-Blogging
Also, you can earn points just by using the app. I hate to admit it but the points add up quicker than I thought they would for doing nothing more than you are already doing on your phone.
Using Your Points
You can use the points you earn in three different ways:
- Gift
- Promote
- Boost
You can use as few as 150 points or up to 1000 points to Promote a post in the Ecency app. In this example, I am promoting a post for three days which will use 350 points. This will show up as a sponsored post in everyone's feed on the Ecency app.
I have also used the app to Boost the earnings of a specific post. By using 150 points, you can add $1.00 vote value to any post you choose. With the vote values so low, anyone receiving this boost would be very thankful.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth?
I used to use ecency all the time, but I haven't recently.

Hey there!
Yeah, I like the Ecency mobile app and web-based desktop version too. The mobile app is user-friendly and allows me to make posts when I'm on the run and also helps a lot for my daily power ups :).
I still don't entirely understand how the boosting/promoting works. I've had some posts that I've paid points to have promoted and I just get refunded 7 days later. It seems like there is an Ecency teams that decides what posts are worthy of getting boosted or promoted.
I have used the boost a few times on my posts most of the times it works perfectly others I get refunded. If I boost the post on the first day the majority of the time it works. If I wait till the third day I usually get refunded. Based on this I had assumed it was a timing issue. Take care.
Yeah, I've noticed that timing has an effect too. The thing is, I'd only like to boost or promote posts that aren't getting engagement, and I don't come to this realization about a post until the third or fourth day. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if this changes at some point. Take care man.
