Hello Brethren, Hope everyone is really good. In this publication, I will be expantiating on the lessons I learnt in our last night prayer meeting.

The zoom meeting started around 9pm according to my country's time. During the meeting, Brother Daniel and Brother Rodel emphasized on the need to exhort one another and also to give praise always.

Nonetheless, I was able to capture a few of the scriptures despite my regional network fluctuation as I followed through the end of the program.

I Cor 14:1, 3, I Thess 5:11, Titus 1:19, Eccl 7:20, I Cor 10:31, John 4:34, I John 5:16, Rom 6;1, Rom 2:4, I John 5: 16, I John 1:8

1 Corinthians 14:1, 3 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.(KJV)

Christianity as a religion could be compared to one of the types of demand called derive demand. This intend that we are called not necessarily for our sake but also for the good of others.

We have to love one another even as God loved us and gave himself for us. From this passage of the scripture, we are advised first to pursue after love which is an exceptional virtue that everyone should possess.

We are encouraged by the word of God to desire spiritual gifts, and especially that we may prophesy.

The need for every spiritual and godly gift is to edify the Church. No one prophesies to himself except for personal edification, one may decide to speak in tongues.

Apostle Paul tressed on this particular gift because of its importance to the church. Most times we speak in tongues which is a confusing and bridge in communication to the Brethren but when we prophesy, everyone in the Church understands what is being communicated.

I really love this gift of prophecy. Though I do prophecy as the spirit leads, but this is one of the gifts believers should desire out of all the gifts of the spirit because the Church is edified in the face of prophecy than every other gifts of the spirit.

The emphasis is that we are meant to supplement each other and not to cause confusion through our different gifts in the Church, which is why the believers have to crave for this gift of prophecy.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.(KJV)

We are encouraged to be a comfort to each other because people are going through a lot and you don't exactly know the extent to which your solution could go in helping them.

When I see a Brother or Sister in need, I'm to comfort him/her either through the scriptures or any means availed to me.

We believe that the Holy Ghost is our comforter but he also dwells in other believers, and one mayn't always be the exhorter but at a time, some other believers could be of help by their words of encouragement in godliness.

We need each other to make hey way in our walk with the Lord as this could come through prophecy most times. We should also heed to the words of prophecy and never neglecting to speak in tongues as to edify our own selfs at all times.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Sin has been part of humanity from the day Adam offended God through the reverberation of his action by joining his wife in eating the forbidden fruit.

Ever since this event at Eden, no one has been able to say he has not sinned. Yeah we sin but because of the sacrifice on the cross for us, we can now boast of the righteousness which comes through Christ.

As aquatic lives cannot deny of water, so also no man can deny to have sinned one time or the other but this doesn't mean we have to continue in sin since the grace of God has justified us from our sinful nature to now be the righteousness of God through Christ.

In first John 5:16, we are advised not to indulge in sin and especially those sin which can lead to death. There are many things that can die. For instance, someone's conscience can die, someone's body can die etc.

If a person's conscience is dead on account of sin, there is nothing you can preach to him to make him change, and he is doomed for ever except by divine intervention in his Life.

Also if a person commit other sin that could pose a threat to his health, it may/will certainly lead to his death. For instance, a chained smoker knows that he's committing a creeping suicide which must invade him one day.

So we have to avoid living in sin which may lead to death or the ones that mayn't lead to death. Hence, we are also advised to pray for those who may have fallen into obvious sin which possibly may pose a challenge to their faith in the Lord.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?(KJV)

God has given us grace through the death of his son Jesus Christ, and his work was to deal with sin. Now he has saved is from sin, which means that we are no longer slaves to sin but servants of righteousness.

From this passage of the scripture, we are advised not to continue in sin although being aware that living the live of sin is like the law of supply where producers tend to supply more of their commodities given am increase in price.

Also grace increases in account of Sin. When someone is living in sin, God gives him more grace to see if he would repent but we are advised not to continue in sin since God's mercy is eternal but we have to reverence and recognize the suffering of Christ for us on the cross of Calvary and turn from every wicked way.

In 1 John 1:8, we are advised by the scriptures not to deny to have sinned at one point or the other. The truth of the matter is that all have sinned and gone short of God's glory.

We became sinners by default regarding the life or the first Adam who ones existed at Eden's garden and so also we became the righteousness of God by default through the death of Christ Jesus on the cross.

We shouldn't boast rather through humility we are to pray for each other that we might stand fast in the grace we received through Christ which exculpated us from sin.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.(KJV)

We are encouraged through this part of the scripture to do all things to the glory of God, no matter what it is because anything that doesn't bring glory to God tantamount to being sinful.

Most times we eat or drink in a haste regarding the intensity of how dehydrated we are or how hungry we are but in all things, we are to eat, drink and do everything to the glory of God.

Conclusion

We have to desire for spiritual gifts as to edify the body of Christ especially to prophesy in the Church and not just to speak in tongues.

We don't have to boast in our selves for being righteous against those who have not come to know Christ but we have to sober in praying for them so that they can also come to know the God who is able to save in all things.

We should abstain from sins because it has the power to take us to hail and eternal damnation.

We have to be thankful to God always not really for sin or sinners but because of the grace He has availed for all men to be saved.

Thanks for going through my publication. I pray that God will bless the MCGI and all instruments that availed themselves in bringing such a pretty
