Hello Brethren, hope everyone is good. Fortunately I was able to join in the MCGI Global Prayer for Humanity program, and it was really intriguing.

Brother Daniel Razon threw a little light on knowing the truth and also the issue of marriage citing a few scriptures which incorporate the following:

John 8:32, John 17:17, John 15:5, Rom 6:22, I Tim 4:7-8, Matt 6:14, Matt 19:9, I Tim 1:13.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.(KJV)

The truth is not far from us but we have to embrace the Truth which is Christ for our freedom to come.

People are captivated in what they may call liberty or freedom. In reality, all men are bound but the knowledge of the truth which is Christ has the potential to set all men free from the bound of Sin.

In verse 33 of the same chapter, we could see how the Pharisees answered Jesus that they weren't bound men rather they were Abraham's seed.

Jesus knows by default that all men are captivated whether we are born by the clergy or laity but knowledge of the truth can set anyone free from the bounds of wickedness.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.(KJV)

The word of God that was made flesh is really a prerequisite for anyone who wishes to be made pure and cleansed.

This was a prayer by Christ that God would sanctify His disciples through his truth, and what is that truth? The truth is Jesus himself because He is the word that was made flesh. So we are sanctified as we believe in Jesus Christ.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.(KJV)

From this passage of the scripture, Jesus stated emphatically that he is the true Vine and for us to make it as believers, we must remain in Him. No one has what it takes to be a true Christian without Jesus despite the measure of faith at work in us.

We can do nothing without Christ, and if we must be true believers, we have to learn to trust and abide in Him for our successes to be evidently conspicuous.

Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.(KJV)

From this passage, it is obvious that that everyone is either bound by sin or righteousness. If someone has decided to be a believer, he is then free from sin and every entanglement.

The truth remains that every sinner is a slave to sin while every believer is enslaved to righteousness and holiness so long as we've decided to keep ourselves to those bonds.

1 Timothy 4:7-8 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.(KJV)

This is an encouragement to all believers to desist from conversations that can lead to sin because words are powerful and have the potency to compel those involved to practice their words someday.

We are further advised to exercise ourselves in godliness rather than fables because godliness is profitable in all things which is also a truth that cannot be put out.

The issue of divorce

Matthew 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.(KJV)

Everyman is obligated not to divorce his wife and perhaps he does that, he must not marry another woman unless on grounds of adultery or fornication from the side of the woman.

The issues of divorce is so rampant in our societies probably on grounds that the Couples lack the knowledge that they are one with different characters.

We were taught that the man and the woman are then made one and no longer two but weren't taught that the two have their respective characters which may cause issues in the long run.

We can further observe that anyone who marries a divorced woman is committing fornication with her even if he pays the bride price according to the cultures of different regions of the world.

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you(KJV)

In this context, Brother Daniel advised that one can either forgive his spouse if the case of infidelity was spotted because even God does forgive us but if he/she decides to part, it is also biblical.

1 Timothy 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

In this context, Paul was appreciating God for counting him worthy to be a worker in the Christian Faith despite the atrocious acts he committed against the gospel which he acclaimed as ignorant.

In essence, we are to forgive our spouse and everyone in general the wrongs they had committed against us so that God will forgive us our wrongs.

Conclusion

We have to recognize Jesus as the truth that was sent to set us free from the bound of sin.

We have to subscribe to the truth that unless we remain in Christ Jesus, we cannot make it in our Christian Faith.

Christians must be careful not to make the mistake of marrying from another faith where infidelity is rampant.

We must tolerate each other as spouse and fellow believers despite the intensity of the wrong since in Christ God forgave us.

Thank you for going through my publication regarding the zoom Global prayer for humanity. I also pray that God will enrich the sponsors of this great program in all their endeavors Amen. Goodbye and 💗
