Hello friends, I'm excited to have joined in the MCGI mass indoctrination zoom meeting, and it was quite incredible. Today, pastor Eli discussed diverse areas as it concerns Christians and our different faceted lives.

Nonetheless, pastor Eli expounded his teaching as he cited different verses of the scriptures which includes:

1 John 5:16, James 5:16-17, 1 Pet 4:8, Prov 24:9, Psalm 32:5, Prov 28:13, Luke 4:25-27, Isaiah 65:24, Matt 6:7-8, Dan 9:18-24, Dan 6:10, Psalm 16:3, 1 Thess 4:16, John 6:44, Prov 15:8, Eph 3:14-15, 1 Tim 3:15, HEB 3:6, HEB 10:21, 1 Cor 14:40, Exo 3:5, Ezek 43:2, 1 Cor 1:10, Zech 8:7, Mal 1:11, 11 Cor 7:14, Lam 3:33 & 39, HEB 13:5, Prov 17:1, Matt 7:7, James 1:6-7, Phil 4:6-7, HEB 4:16, John 16:23.

In Pastor Eli's first discussion, he talked about confessing our sin to one another.
It is obvious that sin has been part of man after the incident at the garden of Eden.

He further noted that we are to confess our sins to God as it lies in the hand of God to pardon our sins.

Pastor Eli made a very remarkable statement. "If you see your brother sinning, don't spread rumors but pray for him"
This is one of the reasons why people would rather hold tight to their secret sins than exposing it to others whom they assumed would have kept the same matter secret.

To avoid falling prey to people who we feel would protect our interest by joining hands with us through prayer when we confess our sins to them, it is better we pray to God to deliver us in those sins than falling victim to psychological stigma when we relate our shortcomings to people.

In the case where we really have a brother or sister whom we really confide in, it is also safe to relate our short falls to them.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.(KJV)

From this passage of the scripture, we would observe that we are to confess our sins to each other but we must be careful to whom we are confessing those sins to because every brother is not a brother likewise every sister.

We are also advised to pray for one another. This is really the duty of every Christian, to pray for one another and not to criticize one another probably for their wrongs and lapses in faith.

And the Bible says that the prayer of a righteous person avails much, that is, it is very effective when a righteous man prays.

On the other hand, there is also sin that does not lead to instantaneous death of the offender, and when we see our brothers or sisters commit such sin, our duty is to pray and not to taunt such brother or sister, and this we have in correlation with 1 John 5:16.

how to pray

I also learnt that the church is a house of prayer and when we pray, we shouldn't use repented words as God really knows the intent of our heart before we start praying.

Matthew 6:7-8 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.(KJV)

Our prayers aren't answered on account of how lengthy we have prayed or how we have recited whatever we have as prayer.

When we pray, we honor God by kneeling to him and thanking him for the things he had done and then we tell him what exactly we need from him.

I also learnt on the cause of Pastor Eli's explanation about prayer that; prayer is a doctrine but we also need discipline. When we pray, we must have our manner of reverencing God which is by kneeling down to him and then we usher in our request to him.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:(KJV)

This scripture is an enlightenment that we will receive our request when we ask God because he is the one that taught us to pray to him.

Pastor Eli also made mention that there are times in life when men cannot help us but in such cases, we need the help of God as he testified how God delivered the aircraft he was traveling with not to crash.

In reality, there are situations when we sincerely need God to interven for us as no human can assist us in such scenarios. So we have to depend on God and not on man.

The solution to Christians is prayer- Pastor Eli Soriano

What we need as Christians is actually prayer as the Bible recorded that we should pray without ceasing because when we cease to pray, we become prey to our problems and most notably our core enemy which is the devil.

We are also advised through the teaching that we shouldn't doubt God in the course of our prayers to him because there is nothing too hard for him to do. It is only we humans that are limited in nature and our capacity to bring solutions to diverse needs and issues.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.(KJV)

We will observe through this scripture as Pastor Eli cited it, that we shouldn't worry about anything but rather in everything that is our problem, we should table them through prayer, supplication and thanksgiving to God.

The issue with we humans is that most of us do not absolutely believe the word of God that God can do just as he said.

We have also clung and over burden ourselves with our problems forgetting that we cannot fully satisfy our personal or individual needs ourselves but through divine intervention, our needs can all be met in a way that only God can take the glory.

Conclusion

We should bear the burden of our fellow men by praying for them when they fall into sin and not trying to taunt them the more since they are still putting on flesh.

We should try to avoid those sins which could lead to our death and also ask God to give us the grace to overcome all temptations of this Life.

God doesn't answer us on account of our long prayer pattern but a simple prayer of faith is never ignored by Him because He knows what we are asking for.

We are to kneel down while praying because this signifies that we surrender our problems to God and it also symbolizes reverence to God.

God bless the MCGI and all who are in collaboration to bring this spirit enlightening program to our edification. Thank you for reading.

To avoid falling prey to people who we feel would protect our interest by joining hands with us through prayer when we confess our sins to them, it is better we pray to God to deliver us in those sins than falling victim to psychological stigma when we relate our shortcomings to people.

Indeed, seeking divine guidance for our sins can often be more healing than confessing to individuals who might judge or stigmatize us. Remember, your relationship with God is personal and sacred; let His wisdom guide you through your challenges without fear of human judgement.
