HIVE: CUBING UP AND THE MAJOR CHALLENGE.

avatar

So for the past days my mind has been occupied with not just my books but thoughts of my future. I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but with the government on the hunt for innovative youths to ruin them, how would I survive?

I may be ahead of myself but Hive is a hope I have right now towards a brighter future. Concerning investing more towards Hive, how would I get to not make the government see me?

Reading Belemo's post about the sleeper agents just threw my mind into a frenzy and it isn't supposed to be so. I mean, I'm still coming up so why kill myself now?

WHAT'S ON MY MIND...

I don't see myself doing a 9-5 anytime soon because I just don't. Well doing my IT(Industrial Training) in school might open up opportunities, given that some people have already approached me to write articles for them. And I'm talking people that work in our big media firms. The reason I haven't taken their offer is because I hate the feeling of being committed. And while the pay would be mouthwatering, I'm just not feeling it.

I PAID MYSELF...

Last month I had a target to pay myself N15,000 through Hive and I missed by N300. I made a new goal to pay myself N20,000 this month and guess what? I'm 4 HBD away from my goal. My mom is proud of me because I always get whatever I set my mind to and I'm also proud of me and proud of the Hive Community because they contributed a lot to this growth of mine. I do see a hope for my future...

TIME TO CUB UP...

I finally got to understand a lot about the Cub tokens thanks to the meeting on Sunday with @hivenaija. So I plan on investing in CUB next month and who knows? I'll end up joining the liquidity pool sooner or later. I got to understand that too thanks to the meeting. I'm still a bit skeptical on going big till I get my Nano Wallet because believe it or not, what happened to @belemo was no small joke and I can't seem to bring my head out of that dark place.

IF ONLY...

Given the dire situation Nigeria's in right now, I believe only one thing can possibly save us; If the coming President is actually foresighted and sees the importance of crypto. Nigeria has fallen deep into a pit and it'll take years to be what we once were. If by some miracle the incoming president is not "illiterate" and "greedy" but actually wants good for his people, we may have hope (or not...)

FRANCE–NIGERIA...

“We must be a country that is predictable. No company comes here and invests in a business that is not predictable. Today we have access to forex and tomorrow the government says we do not have access to forex,” – Sand K. Mba

Just like the above point, I don't know how much forex and Crypto are related but I've tried reading about it and still can't grasp their similarities or differences enough– I agree with Mba. Even if forex may be very different from crypto, it doesn't stop the fact that these people (the investors these illiterate government hope to attract) deal with crypto in one way or another. If they are really hoping to woo investors into this "country", I don't see how suffocating the world's best asset is helping. I mean this is old news about building a strong economy but presently, our billionaires and multi-millionaires are involved in Cryptocurrency one way or another. And they keep crying "investment". (SMH)

I am really curious now to see what after 2023 would be like. Doom or salvation?
Comments are greatly appreciated.

Nice post. It’s pretty normal to always worry about the future. Thank Goodness you know that Hive has given you a step ahead. Pretty good you have a goal, it makes you buckle up when you feel you are slacking. It’s not easy handling school and Hive, you are doing a great job.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words. It's not easy but Hive doesn't tell me what to post and what not to which is why I'm enjoying it. I could be doing other writing jobs but i can't handle them cos they come with pressure. Hive doesn't. So I'm loving it.

I would advise you not to shut down any opportunities, but take them all if you can.

Also, it is amazing that you have targets, I don't think I do 😆

I do know. I shut down those because I know the stress that comes with their work. I've worked for them before. And even though their pay is good, they don't really appreciate someone. I hate having to feel really pressured into something when I'm supposed to be enjoying it.

Yeah, I understand what you mean though, you should enjoy your job but sadly in Nigeria that on its own is hard to find.

Exactly. I hate feeling like I don't have choice. Feeling cornered. It's horrible and throws me into a depressive state.

Soar dear.. @deraaa

I m proud of your achievements..
And one of the rules of Crypto is is Kay yourself, but I m somehow stone on leaving my HP for now.

I ll drink garri is possible.

Don't mind the Govt.
Things won't be the same for long.

The Lekki case has been broken by the Lagos Judiciary, soon I pray, all they did will be crashing on them and reversing the unthinkable restrictions they placed against striving youths while their kids are outside there lavishing away.

If people are hitting you up for work with good pay I don't see why you shouldn't take it. You're committed to hive so is commitment really an issue?

Probably not. It's their pressure I can't deal with. Deadlines and stuff isn't my thing. Which is why i feel I'm studying the wrong thing. I enjoy Hive but I don't enjoy the mental stress I go through with these people. I have worked with them before. While I enjoy writing, once it becomes a do or die thing, I avoid it. Same when I was writing a novel for someone. A week! I was given a week! It was awful.

This is a great article about your goals and achievements. I think it's fabulous that @hivenaija is sharing knowledge within the community. Care to share whether there are any simple to understand ways of getting into cub? ;-) !PIZZA

Well, i was just speaking with Belemo about it. He's really big on Crypto investment. From my understanding, you can't get CUB using HBD directly. You have to get the Binance Smart Chain. I'm not totally clear but I'll talk about it and tag you.
