This is a very embarrassing something (don't mind my english). The National Economic Council (NEC) proposed psychiatric evaluation of the men of arms. Seriously?
I am thinking, what have they been doing? So they just accepted every thing that put in application? Excuse me? These test or evaluations are a MUST. No wonder i see police men with potbellies wearing bathroom slippers eating roasted yam by the road side like agberos (hoodlums). They have no training whatsoever, some can't even speak english.
This takes me back down memory lane where a man with the army uniform came to our neighborhood. All of a sudden, he just fired shots into the air and then walked away like a dismantled volkswagon as the hoodlums around hailed him. I felt totally bad because these are the kind of things occupying important spaces in our country.
I am truly disappointed that it took over a century for this to be implemented. The SARS and Police are major bullying authorities. Most of them lack proper education which is why they behave like...I don't even know what to say.
Anyway, I am hoping that this is the beginning of discipline? Because even till now, I can't see those beings changing. What a mess!

These days, speaking on matters relating to the Nigerian armed forces seems like a waste of time to me. I’m not sure there’s a thing this country will do that will come as shocking to me again.
With all that I’ve seen, I won’t be surprised if the proposed psychiatric evaluation is even rejected. Because even on their best days, this people are still foolish.

Wow!!! Nigerian issues give me migraine, because everything handled by the government is extremely backwards. Nothing in the country is structurally developed. Nice post though.
I tell you. That's why we don't grow. Although i feel this is their own strategy of maintaining power. When every thing is relying on their decisions and opinions, they wouldn't want it any other way. They know what they are doing. These people are not dumb.
