Food Baby

Source

The familiar midnight scene
I look hither and thither,
opening the cooling machine.

I carve away a cake's crust
like a wonderous cavewoman
driven madly to foodlust.

The traitorous belly rebels,
pregnant in five minutes,
alarmingly it just swells.

If I wasn’t so sad, maybe,
I wouldn't fill this void
with a little food baby.

Hi,

I always like you silly stories and plays on issues and words.

One philosopher somewhere said,

"There is an empty place in man's stomach that only food can fill."

My vote is mostly vyb now. Check out the #vyb tag if you have time. The cool thing is that vyb pays out in 48 hours. So you get the reward in two days on Hive engine or in your vybrainium wallet.

Good evening @diebitch. I think that although your post links to some extent to the act of eating, it is not appropriate for this community. There are very good communities on Hive, such as Blockchain Poets or CELF Magazine, for example, (although there are many more), where I think your witty poem would look great.

On the other hand, I see that you have used an illustration that is not of your authorship, although it is true that you have placed the source, and this is free of copyright; however, by including this illustration in your post, you violate the first rule of the Foodies Bee Hive community, which reads:

"Post only original content (re-posting old content/translating is not considered original)."

For the above, I am proceeding to mute your post in this community.

I hope you will take these observations into consideration for future posts; which may be reviews of food sites or recipes. To that end, here are some suggestions that may be useful for when you want to publish in Foodies Bee Hive:

  • That it be a 100% original post. We do NOT accept plagiarism and publication of old content, even if it is your own.

  • Posts written in English or bilingual, but English must be one of the languages used.

  • Post of an acceptable size, at least 350 words (minimum).

  • That it is a well-written post with good spelling.

  • That you use photographs taken by you, properly identifying the equipment used for it, either camera or cell phone. We do not accept photographs from third parties, even if they are copyright free.

  • In case of presenting a recipe, there is a basic structure, which obeys a logical order: An appropriate title, an introduction in which you will talk about the dish in a general way, for example, you can say whether or not it is a traditional recipe, how you learned it, on what occasions it is prepared, what you feel when preparing it, etc., this brings emotion to your recipe, and allows readers of other nationalities, to know more about your culture. A list of ingredients expressed in units of measurement that are understandable anywhere in the world, it is not good to use expressions such as: "a big potato", "a splash of oil", "a little salt", but to express these quantities in grams, liters, kilos, pounds, etc. A well-developed step-by-step, which reflects with text and photographs what is being done at each stage of the recipe. And a final result, in which you present the dish already finished and duly plating.

  • It is important to see you from time to time elaborating your recipes, so it is recommended that you appear in some photographs.

  • The photographs must be clear. Natural light is recommended, as it brings more beauty and sharpness to the photos. It is also important that the shot of the photo does not focus only on the contents of the dish, the pot, cup, container, etc., but that it is wider and shows part of the environment of the preparation, such as the board or table where it is prepared, the kitchen, etc.

  • And you can orient yourself with respect to the labels in our community, there are a series of suggestions there.

In general terms these would be the features of a good post. Obviously there are other more specific elements that can be considered important, such as the layout of the publications. If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to ask any of the Foodies curators.

Greetings and happy hollydays!

Good morning @sirenahippie, although in essence your observation is correct, here are some points you need to consider before resorting to petty behavior:

  1. Your community's guidelines are not pinned anywhere, I'm not omniscient.
  2. A lot of posts in this community violate your third rule: >That it is a well-written post with good spelling. They are riddled with gramatical and spelling errors.
  3. You could have written a short warning message stating that the community is for recipes and food reviews with original photos and such.
Thanks for your concern, I will keep your guidelines in mind if I decide to post in your community.

Good morning @diebicth. I know well that you are not omnisciene, no human being is. Look something, when you enter the community, on the right side of the screen, there are fixed rules, you can view them every time you enter Foodies Bee Hive, they are visible to everyone, for quick and constant access to them. These are general rules.

The extensive guidelines that I offered you, are just suggestions, as they may be useful for you to post on Foodies Bee Hive. The idea of this is that every day we all learn, improve and make better content for Hive.

I am sorry if this has caused you any discomfort, it is not the idea, because my intention, my job, is to guide users in the best way and maintain the quality and suitability of content that is shared in the community.

Regarding your observation that if there are other posts with flaws, obviously there may be, Foodies Bee Hive is a very large community, but we, the administrators, moderators and curators of the same, are responsible for addressing this type of situation.

If you have any questions regarding how to post in our community, or any other concern related to Hive, we are here to help you.

I hope these Christmas days are of great happiness and harmony for you and yours. Best regards.
