The Garden of Eden - Humankind's first paradise

The serpent slithered around the trees and looked at the apple and hissed. He caught Eve's furtive looks and Adam’s longing while looking at the apple.

🐍: How are you my lovely humans?

A: Good, everything is great! What a gift to walk in this beauty.

E: Yes, there is complete happiness amid paradise.

🐍: Ah Paradise! But isn't the true meaning of paradise where there are no restrictions?

A: What do you mean?
Adam exchanged a glance with Eve.

🐍: I was wondering if this is paradise or the illusion of it, should paradise be conditional on following rules? Why can't you do what your heart longs for? Why can't you take a big juicy bite of that shiny red apple?

E: We are not allowed to, and it is probably for our own good. We have been given abundance, why give it up for a bite of forbidden fruit?

🐍: Ah but haven't you wondered why that fruit is forbidden? Maybe it is the true paradise?

A: One should not want more; greed will only destroy joy.
Adam avoided Eve's eyes.

🐍: Is it greed or is it curiosity about the world we live in? Paradise is perfection and not restriction. Maybe you are meant to have that fruit to live to your fullest without any regrets.

A: My mind does wonder what it would be like to have that apple.

E: We live in the definition of paradise, but it feels incomplete, maybe you're right, maybe this is the illusion of paradise.

They got up and bit into the apple, as the Garden of Eden disappeared in front of them to be replaced by a concrete jungle with chattering humans.

🐍: You fools! Paradise is a state of the mind. You create it and destroy it yourself.

Wow! Such a meaningful article with precision and clarity of message.
That is the truth. Paradise is what we feel not what we have. We may be happy with a little and may be gloomy even having abundance. Gratefulness makes the paradise for us.

😂😂. You're queen of sarcasm. Till the world ends, there will always be a battle between freedom, and restrictions. I personally believe that freedom shouldn't be taken for extreme lasciviousness, that is the true bondage for me, because we'll yet be a slave to our desires. A level of self control is always necessary.
