Top 7 signs the recession is upon us

Remember the beginning of the naughties (00's)? We survived the turn of the century but could not survive the consequences of stupidity.

Recession hit us like a boxer returning for their final fight. Credit crisis, banks going bankrupt and just general unemployment.

History will repeat itself, and some of us will be lucky to be a part of two recessions. Fun!

Why am I being pessimistic?

1 - Inflation - Not only the economy but some egos are facing inflation at an alarming rate.

2 - Elon Musk - a guy who believes it is his duty to propagate his species has taken over a platform where many go to vent and which is the place where humanity is at its cruelest because - Anonymity. Same guy who drove up the price of dogecoin. Why is this a problem? It is the start of a certain faction of rich investors waiting to pounce on vulnerable companies and begin layoffs to make a quick profit.

3 - Having a kid right now is like buying a Porsche during your mid-life crisis - Having a child has become so expensive that you only scrape the money required for it sometime in your thirties. Sure, they're cute but then they become teenagers and act like those angry customers who keep on kicking the ATM that doesn't work.

4 - Most people in their twenties have a better chance of being hit by lightnin' than buying a house.

5 - A world of masterchefs - There has been an alarming increase in the number of people cooking at home and subjecting us to their tiktok videos. However, this trend inspired by covid has led to lesser takeout.

6 - Remember those two people, the ones you see once a year after cashing in your last tuition check. Well, the only real estate that'll have you is their basement. More and more ex angsty teenagers turned freeloaders are moving back home.

7 - It's a ploy! It's easier to meet your better half than find a job, so lots of people live together on minimum wage - Shabbily everrrrrr after.

Unemployment line is threatening to go equatorial. And that's where it starts.

About Musk doing layoffs to make a quick profit, I honestly don´t think that his primary goal in buying Twitter was do to a quick profit. He was annoyed by the political correctness and censorship culture of Twitter and he had the money. Laying off he was basically many of the censoring staff.

Lol... So true 😅 teenagers are one of their parents problem after being all cute as babies.

I see we have more signs than I thought of about this recession, we will scale through anyways.

Well listed, the last one cracked me up 😂

I love stopping by this great community #comedyopenmic ha,ha,ha I always get something to feed my good mood. It's true a lot of lightning will strike ha,ha,ha,ha. It's nice to have one child, but can you imagine having 5, you'll never wear underwear again. You made me laugh, but I almost cried from so many truths. I have my own house ha,ha,ha,ha, thank God, I have 3 children, twins and a boy, it's nice, but it's a big responsibility. I remembered my friend who has 6 children. A big hug. Thanks for leaving good humor on these roads @diebitch

A huge reality. The tiktok thing, the same, and the easier to get a partner than a job thing, another reality. Life is a comedy.
