Buying Mobile Online!
Online Shopping vs Offline/In-Person Shopping has been an internet sensation for a long time. Both have different pros and cons. Every person had different experiences in the past and we show our likeness based on those experiences. Stick with me and I will take you on my shopping journey preference based on my experiences.
Buying Mobile:
When I was in school, I was told I could get a good mobile when I go to college, and in college, I was told the same for university. In university, I finally got a personal mobile but it was MOTO E4. My games were lagging, PUBG was not working, overheating, and poor camera quality, and low battery timing. It was one of my worse phone-using experiences but it was the best I ever saw so I was used to it. I had the money to buy a phone but I read many finance books which messed with my head a lot.
It took me 1.5 years to realize, I need a phone. My time became more valuable to me day by day. I finally made the choice to buy a phone. Since I was a gamer, I had a huge circle of online friends. I picked phone sellers from that circle and found 3 people who are phone shopkeepers. I joined them in a group call and they debated what is good and what is bad along with overhyped and trending models. I made up my mind after that call that I need POCO X3. The decision was not only based on discussion but on the internet I found out about the America-China trade war. According to the limited information, I gathered I found out POCO X2 is over made than demand cause Europe and America banned it. The company made some changes and launched POCO X3 to get rid of the backlog.
This information was enough to get started. I took a loan from my sister and sold all my price bonds. I gathered around 39k PKR (171.68 $, at the time of writing). This was the exact amount I needed for buying from a shop. On further research, I found out how many scams are happening when buying from physical locations. I searched for mobile distributed who should be listed in the stock exchange (I also had stocks of 75k in the Pakistan Stock Exchange, 330.15 $ at the time of writing). After doing all the research I picked the safest routine to deliver my physical parts of mobile directly from China, which was further assembled in Lahore (Trusted and passes all validations) then it was shipped to me by Leopard (Lowest delivery scams) in Karachi.
After making sure everything is fine and doing detailed research on the mobile market of Pakistan, I went to the official routines to place my order. I soon found out 39k is local but officially it's 45k (198.09 $, at the time of writing). I got a 6k loan from my sister within the next 6 hours and placed my order.
I was among the rare individuals who placed such a big order for an online product. People said different things to me which made me even more fearful. I was even fearing at one point that the phone comes break or if it never arrive and all my money will vanish into thin air. I backed everything with logic and reasoning and I knew the product I get will be original with even micro-level originality with no fraud.
My phone finally arrived and I made a video of it while opening the box just in-case if anything went wrong. I knew I had 2 years warranty so I can ask for a refund even if it starts to get overheated or any other issues covered in my insurance policy. This was one the best financial decision I made and I am a proud owner of POCO X3.
I know all this stuff might look nonsense or over dramatic but doing all this didn't take me much time. I even enjoyed deep diving into the world of scams. Since I have experience that usually Pakistanis have bad experience cause they buy cheaper (6k I paid extra), even now if people who know me very well ask me when they need to buy something online. It's a blessing that my skill is helping a friend even today buy a laptop in a world that is filled with scams if we show a little laziness or greed.
I will not give a final conclusion cause the in-person buying experience also has advantages but when we don't know validation details, it's better to buy from/through the most trustful resources. What do you think of my story? Would you like to know my in-person shopping experience too for comparative analysis? Although I prefer both online and in-person shopping. The in-person shopping experience is confusing for me but I oddly enjoy it.

Last night, Sheru told me about his dream to serve arm forces. When I asked him Why he want to serve the country only by joining arm forces as there are other ways too, Sheru instantly got puzzled. It looked like had no idea about the true meaning of serving my country and Freedom. I am not a Guru too but it reminded me of my debate with my father when he showed keen interest in me joining arm forces.
Nowadays everyone (the majority in Pakistan) wants to join arm forces with hopes of serving their country. This true spirit and emotions are the result of songs, poetry, and reputation. A big chunk of what our country has is already allocated to forces. This means that like a business it needs money to run. Our country is already a defaulter in loan payments. We are barely surviving between grey and black list. Already many things like Airport are in contracts of tax collections for loan payments. We are gambling with China as an investor as we have no other choice. In short, this loan is becoming the biggest threat to the nation that is being ignored by the youth.

When it comes to buying gadgets, I prefer physical stores to online.. Some sellers are cheating...they'll give you refurbished or class A instead of brand new and original.
But the same is about physical sellers, as I mentioned in the case of mobiles in Pakistan, They are also cheating in many ways.
This was the best financial decision I made and I am a proud owner of POCO X3.
I agree with you, because I have done some online buying and for me it saves time and also risk of traveling from one location to another just to buy something. I find online shopping better than physical shopping. Though this is my take.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your feedback and for visiting my blog.
I find both shopping ways fun!
Online shopping can be beneficial in some ways but we can't hesitate to overthink that we will be scammed. I'm an online shopping addict.
Buying in stores physically is also better. We can check right away if there are no defect issues.
No matter what choice of shopping we opt for, we need to buy wisely.
Thank you for the share.
Did you ever buy useless stuff in online shopping? When daraz (a shopping application) became popular in my country, I wasted a lot of money on things I never used. I thought they were cool but the quality was less satisfactory or the product descriptions/videos were misleading.
Every country goes through a revolution towards online shopping and it was the beginning. People who listed shops cheated a lot; since it was new, they took advantage of the user's newbie attitude.

I have had a mixed experience shopping online. I wouldn't dispute the fact that it's convenient and you can still get good vendors who have no interest in scamming buyers but I still prefer in-person shopping. Your experience shopping your mobile online isn't bad, and taking the video upon receiving it was so smart of you, XD.
I would love to read about your in-person shopping experience too. I remember, the dresses you got with your friend the other ... you had a choice issue but yet, made a great choice. Nevertheless, I will still love to read the details of your physical shopping experience.

I dug a lot on the web related to scams and they also mentioned, one way to avoid stuck insurance claims is by recording a video when opening the box. To this day, I am satisfied with my phone. Although I still have my first phone saved, just in case I wanna giveaway it to my fans or auction it someday. I have plans to giveaway as a memory, all parts separated and framed. Maybe I will just hang it on my wall in a frame for my future generations.
I like the fact that you took your time to take all the necessary precautions and to carry out important research before letting go of your money.
Scams in general feed on the laziness of individuals which is why it's quite common on the internet.
I believe another reason is the poor implementation of laws. For example, if a shop keeper cheated and it's proofed (assume 51% of sales fraud), it's intentionally harder to punish him/her. Also, MONEY is the law unfortunately in some countries.
Oh well, it's the sad nature of things.
The POCO phone you bought is one of the most valuable Budget Android phone in the market. Specs wise, it's a beast.
Indeed, the first word people say about it is: BEAST (in the budget-friendly category)!
Buying things online is okay. Just like you have said that it’s best to go for quality… though there would be a risk of losing money. But there would still be an assurance over quality products. Glad you got your device online and free of scams.
Hehe, for me i never got any device online. I buy from stores in person.
I bought it with my bank card and it was covered by my insurance if I buy from that online store.
It was because of the authenticity of that phone brand that is why it was shipped to you, I supposed!
It is so difficult for me to make such a conclusion in buying gadgets online because it is better to not hear that it is not what you order that you received or that you were scammed. You were brave regardless of what folks told you.
It wasn't emotionally easier for me too but I took the turn cause of my weird nature which wants my life to be full of beans!
I guess we are have to make some decisions at a point in our lives eh?☺️
Don't worry...
One of these days I'll come to you for help when I want to buy something. Your expertise will be very helpful.
You gave quite an insight, there are people who are scared of buying online because they don't want to end up making the wrong choice. A very understandable trait.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
And when you come I will be WOOOSH!
1st: I hate going to stores so online shopping is the best for me! I have time to watch 100 reviews about a product and avoid me going into some seller's talk!
2nd: I read once about Pakistan having one of the most patriotic populations! Interesting. I "ran away" from the army in Brazil, where it is mandatory when you reach 18 to put your name there, I didn't do anything illegal, I just told them that I didn't want to join the army, so they gave me a reservist ID which is obligatory to get a passport and other documents, even to join university we need to show this document.

It also depends on the country we live in.
The truth is poor class doesn't have a higher chance and the rich class doesn't care much. Also, the majority population is from the middle class instead of the poor class like in some countries. This middle class is stuck in the loop of HOUSE, MONEY, CAR, and MARRIAGE! To achieve this faster joining army is a good way. Also, you can leave after some years when you become a little bit financially stable and will also get a pension. Seems like a good investment of time.
Although "The Golden Prison"'s ideology is basically inspired by "LAAL Masjid"'s attack. This is what Wikipedia says:
I believe people who participated in this attack from the military side never covered for mental health issues and mental health is one of my concerns.
The mother of the Commander who was shot by the second commander in charge (they later said enemies killed him) gave an interview in a newspaper and said my son was shot from behind and my son never shows gave to enemies. Multiple further incidents were recorded when the operation was performed. Although Indian, American, Pakistani, and other governments think this operation was justified (I believe it was just an attack on Islam by foreign funding governments think otherwise). I personally never wanted to join the military again after getting knowledge about this incident.
I wasn't there when this happened nor I can 100% say what happened that day, all I know is corruption by the GATEKEEPERS in general and how they disrespect Bussiness man. Thus the ideology/idea of hating "The Golden Prison" was born.

I had same feelings about this mobile.... Later, after one year when warranty expired - it's Dead phone Now.
Do a bit search on Google about Poco X3 dead mobile you'll find out this is Common issue with this model.
Use it wisely or I would advice to Get rid off this and opt something better just avoid Poco and Go for other.
And if keeping it than don't Update software ever.
Check this: https://www.quora.com/Is-the-Poco-X3-Pro-having-the-dead-issue
You might bought it from Pakistan? I bought it directly from the manufacturer. The items were shipped from China to Pakistan and were assembled in lahore then delivered to Karachi. As I mentioned I paid extra 6k just to get the A class, they make for American consumers. I also have seen other people's POCO X3 and I can without a doubt can say, the phones available in retail stores of Pakistan have some parts replaced which caused the issue with your phone. Sad to hear about your loss. !LUV
It doesn't matter... Have seen most same feedbacks from other countries. Well, shared my experience and hope yours will work fine!
