Creative Sunday Needs Your Unofficial Feedback!
Hey, HL Community Members! Most of you in HL know me very well.
February was busy for me cause I was doing onboarding and other developments. Our Community is not perfect, nothing is, and we must evolve to be a better version of ourselves. Sometimes, I get feedback on prompts being too boring.
We have #ideas-and-feedback for your topic suggestions. If it's boring for you please only complain to us after you made an idea suggestion. We are the same body as a community. If you don't like something, Let's do it better together. Enough talk about the #hl-exclusive.
We had to remove photography first from #creative-sunday cause of too basic photography posts. Our cooking category in #creative-sunday is too basic mostly but we are still continuing it. I give a lot of feedback in Monday hangouts on how to make better content. But all we see are noodles or eggs.
Recently with the rise of Chatgtp, we had to remove POETRY from #creative-sunday cause of too many AI-written poems.
In short, we lost two creative categories cause of community members making it harder for us to continue them. Cooking is not worth recreating the recipes as the posts contain fewer details. The collage, DIY, and meme category is only ruled by a few faces as good content creators.
With a lot of current problems to fix, introducing a new category in HL from management is a really tough call.
#creative-sunday is playing an important part in onboarding too. Web2 people have shorter attention spans especially when it comes to reading. Here DIY, memes, and especially cooking content shine. A person can easily share with web2 people what they cooked on this weekend. This connects web2 and web3 people.
I really need your help to take this to the next level. I was a web2 gaming person. I edited some videos like:
As you guys know, most people are gamers. Just like cooking can help onboard other chiefs from web2, gaming creatively game videos can also help onboard gamers to hive and it's a big audience to capture in terms of web2 to web3 conversion.
We can't approve creative gaming videos cause plagiarism or fraud and do deal with this,
we can simply add this rule: "We will choose multiple-player games where the username is visible."
As you guys also know, I personally don't make much content cause I have to consume a lot of content and I am a go-giver person than a taker. I have a lot of good ideas for this campaign of creative gaming videos. I also believe that within HL a lot of people play multiple games of web2 together which is the cause of this addition. I can't make a commitment to make content for this as my collages content on #creative-sunday or in general declined. It's too hard to show that members of HL want this addition in #creatice-sunday or even if they want this addition or not. We lost 2 categories and one new addition should be great but for that, I need your feedback.
These are just my thoughts related to onboarding, creative-sunday, and Hive Learners community. Please comment down your ideas on how we can really onboard people from web2 to web3 utilizing the resources we have in HiveLearners.

Gaming for sure, love to see it included in the creative sunday, so I can also take part sometimes. Recently, I have gone to almost exclusively gaming posts. Always been a gamer though.

I have always found Hive Learners Prompt interesting and haven't found anything boring not gonna lie.
If something doesn't fit my head - I wait for next topic and see what others are doing with that one.
Wise choice of removing Photography, Poems...A.i based content needs to be Get caught first.. so, creative poets can spell magic words on us.
In web2 Gaming is always Hot and way Popular than other categories like Vlogs etc.
I think adding Gaming on #creativesunday would be Great decision as in Hive there are so many Gamers.. they'll !LUV it too! Well, I believe you'll come up with something Great like always!!

I also joined as splinterlands player. I didn't even know anything existed except splintertalk.io
Removing the poem was a good one but has hindered real poets from sharing what they have installed for the blockchain. Adding gaming to creative Sunday is another way to make it more interesting.
We started poetry late when one of the members of a good poet. They are still allowed to share poetry on HL as general content and we are curating them. So real poets still have place to share. It's just that we don't wanna run any competition related to it.

There is something that come into my thoughts. During my stem tag curation for cartel I noticed good posts in education where people are creative doing some in-house scientific experiments or even in other areas of teaching kids...

I passed your idea forward, by my wording u might had guess, I am trying to do the little I can.
Also, I fear if one experiment got a bigger vote, probably others do that experiment again and again.......
I guess originality is a big thing to consider ;) it happens with many posts, even cooking right? there are common foods that people do all the time!
Believe me when I see instant noodle or boiled egg without anything that makes it special, my blood boils inside. Send me more experiment links like atleast 5...... I am hopeful that we might add it as we are looking for categories to add.

It disheartening that people can't put in effort to write on articles they want to get reward with and thereby dive into AI to help them make these post.
These act of theirs has caused original content creators in those two aspects, but then we move.
The gaming is indeed a wonderful idea. And having it has an inclusion in the creative Sunday will definitely be a wonderful idea.
I'm not much of a gamer who shared his experience even though I plays alot, but then I've seen many who does on different social media platforms. And I believe if we can have such, people can then share their links with the friends with whom they play together in web2, and in that process others who saw it will most likely be interested in joining.
I also have similar thoughts that it can be something of value in terms of onboarding. Gaming itself is different than making creative gaming edits though.
Can you elaborate on "gaming edits?"

I really do not see reasons why people should complain of boring topics when they can always suggest as well. HL community has been trying their best and so if anyone doesn't find a topic interesting, he or she should kindly wait for the next topic or better still make use of #ideas and feedback channel.
I love the updates about the creative Sunday post. The term creative means we should at least rack our brain and be more innovative... using Ai chatgtp should not be encouraged and other basic content that doesn't show creativity.
Finally the inclusion of game. I think this is a great idea capable of attracting more people from web2 and perhaps develop interest in joining provided this rule will be applied 👇👇

It is surprising to see that HL members are using Chatgtp to come up with writeup and I wonder how they expect to develop as a writer when involving in things like this.
I am definitely going to miss the cooking category but it's all good because of I am also after the growth of the community.
Introducing games will be a great idea, I play a lot of football games and I hope that would be accepted as well.
The cooking category is great. It's the presentation and content that I see often that is upsetting. There is very uncommon creativity around. Only a few people put their best.
That's true though, I have seen a few post like that and I wonder why people participate when they aren't doing anything really creative.
I don't participate when what I am cooking on a Sunday morning is very common.
Sharing post about noodles really don't come with any form of creativity and I hope everyone understands more.
Some people participate in hopes that their mediocre work will still get them something. Or maybe they are just really ignorant.
Everyone can make noodles. Unless there is something really different, then one should just pass.

It's nice to have you back, DLM. It's been quite a while.
Personally, I don't read poems. It's not that I dislike them. I just don't feel any connection to the words, and their meanings to me are usually vague. To then find that some people cannot even try to be creative with them and use AI is just sad.
Photography, on the other hand, is actually a great idea and good category to have people showcase their brilliant ideas. Unfortunately, many of them here aren't appealing.
Gaming, however, is also a good idea, and I think it can work. There aren't that many gamers, in the contrary, and the ones that actually game may be great at it. The matter if content-plagiarism may be a potential issue. But I think the idea of usernames displayed could work.
I play Call of Duty Mobile. I may want to share some of my best games once in a while. Can that work? My username there is different, however.
I was always with you guys. It's just that you guys rarely notice how things work.
A different username doesn't matter. It just should be same in each of your video so we know it's you. As HL is mostly about hive exclusive content, your friends have to come to hive to view your content.
Also you can add nice edits with copyright free songs on headshots. Or make memes within video editing. or anything that will be considered creative and more than simply a gameplay showing skills.
