Splinterlands: Giving Back! The Best Community Ever!

Disclaimer: This whole story is for researchers improving splinterlands and developers (it tells a lot of things that need to be fixed in future). Others can also enjoy the story.

Today I joined you again with an interesting story! Bring your popcorns it's gonna be a bit long.

In this story, we will look back into my past and figure out what was the root cause of joining splinterlands and what I am giving back to community.

It all started when I started to give Decentralization presentation at my University but all of the people there were anti-decentralization mentality. My teacher deducted my marks from that presentation because I talked about use cases of NFTs and how NFTs can be using in Bonds system aka Lottery. I also game examples of Crypto kitties but I failed to deliver my message. My teacher said this is a presentation and you cant market your ideas and believes to students (calling NFTs a joke). I didn't give up, I realize the cause of my failure is because I am not involved with NFTs enough thus I joined Splinterlands. I already discussed how I joined Splinterlands splintertalk community in this POST: Splinterlands Community is welcoming by nature!

After joining splinterlands, One of goals to empower gamers of country to earn from games became true (I was working on it for years):

After that my efforts were to convert PUBG and Mobile Legends players to play2earn games. It was hard for me to because of 10$ paywall and how Splinterlands animations are not even near to magic the gathering or 3d pokemon battles or even the story behind splinterlands characters is not marketed well. I don't meet anyone in my community who already played splinterlands with Spellbook. 10$ to target a player is just too much to handle as bronze-level battles are not interesting, only basic tactics.

I started targeting Pokemon lovers and CS go fans on WhatsApp. I met a friend of mine in university and showed him how much I made from splinterlands till now and explained to him how splinterlands in future will be a game of mainstream media like Dota, LoL, Mobile Legends. The first thing he said was is it like Axie infinity. I was a bit upset with that question but I had to say that splinterlands in like that (Ponzi) Axie infinity with a clam face.
He was not amazed but the animation of the game as a hardcore game. At night I saw Chaos Legion Trailer and watched it multiple times and then I send him a tournament of top leagues of splinterlands. Although trailer can be a bit better because there is a lot of money on the table thus It is too soon and improvement but to pitch it to a new player is hard with that trailer.

In morning on Sunday, he contacted me about buying spellbook. I warned him about the financial risks involved but he told me he already bought a lot of in-game items thus he is well aware of the risk. He set up everything for him. He just sent me payment in local payment method and from Binance I bought Tron and pay on that address. I took care of all the payment fees and other stuff as I don't want to make it complicated for him. I was in bronze but I still offered him to choose cards from my collection and I will delegate him.

His username is sergentfoxy and other delegations are from giveaways I hosted.

The affiliate program is worse just my observation. Even if we compare it to risingstargame it's not even near to good. Why? Because in my country Paypal is Ban so forget about people buying packs using Paypal. It's not profitable for people like me to affiliate this game but I still love to do it.

So this is how I am marketing, pitching, and even trying to buy spellbooks for people but it's hard for me due to many reasons, some of them are explained above. I am happy and satisfied after doing a lot of work behind the scene I am able to bring one person to game and the reason for my happiness is now they will not put money into games like PUBG (sorry I am strongly against shooting games played by children less than 18) and focus on play2earn and pay2win, pay2play games. This was the ultimate goal of my DLM gaming community which splinterlands fulfilled. Even now I am continuing my efforts to enable people of my community (area) to earn from gaming.
