¡Hola Hivers! Venimos a contarles sobre este encuentro que se realizó el sábado 25 de febrero en Caracas, siendo más específicos, en el Bitcoin Café.

¡Hi Hivers! We are here to tell you about this meeting that took place on Saturday, February 25th in Caracas, to be more specific, at the Bitcoin Café.

Estamos emocionados porque Mafer @soymaferlopezp fue con su mejor flow DW3 🤣 representando al Team y dando a conocer el proyecto IRL (in real life). Vamos ahora sí, a contarles como estuvo este encuentro.

We're excited because Mafer @soymaferlopezp went with her best DW3 flow 🤣 representing the Team and presenting the project IRL (in real life). Let's go now, to tell you how was this meeting.

La cita era a la 1:00 pm, aunque haciendo un poco de tiempo, y esperando que los asistentes fueran llegando, la charla comenzó a eso de las 2:30 pm. Quien dio inicio fue nada más y nada menos que Carmen Salvador, CEO de Bitcoin Café & Fintech 4.0.

Habló un poco sobre cómo inició los proyectos antes mencionados, los talleres y diplomados que realizan. También, conversó sobre web 3, Blockchain, la importancia de las finanzas personales, la tokenización y un poco de crypto.

Comentó sobre lo necesario que es mantenerse activo investigando y estudiando, ya que, cada día, todo avanza mucho más rápido y hay que estar informados sobre las nuevas tecnologías y lo que eso abarca en prácticamente en todas las áreas.

The appointment was scheduled for 1:00 pm, although making a little time, and waiting for the attendees to arrive, the talk began at about 2:30 pm. The speaker was Carmen Salvador, CEO of Bitcoin Café & Fintech 4.0.

She talked a bit about how she started the aforementioned projects, the workshops and diploma courses they offer. Also, she talked about web3, Blockchain, the importance of personal finance, tokenization and a bit of crypto.

He commented on how necessary it is to stay active researching and studying, since, every day, everything advances much faster and you have to be informed about new technologies and what that encompasses in virtually all areas.

Una vez finalizada la participación de Carmen, Mary @marymlp-8 (que es parte de nuestra comunidad) inició su charla. Cabe destacar, ella es ingeniero marítimo y usó su uniforme de la marina mercante, lo cual, le dio un gran toque a su presentación.

Fue bastante interesante, en lo personal, siento que en esta presentación se dividió en educación, alcance en web3 y el proyecto como tal. ¿Cómo es la cosa? Ok, expliquemos esa división.

Once Carmen's participation was over, Mary @marymlp-8 (who is part of our community) started her talk. Of note, she is a maritime engineer and wore her merchant marine uniform, which added a great touch to her presentation.

It was quite interesting, personally, I feel that in this presentation was divided into education, web3 outreach and the project as such. How is the thing? Ok, let's explain that division.

Alcance de web3

Comento este punto, ya que, me parece que al que lea esto podrá motivar e identificarse. Durante la presentación de Mary, ella comentó un poco sobre algunas experiencias durante lo que ha sido su proceso de estar en Web3. Algo que me quedó grabado fue que, cuando estuvo en el evento que se hizo en noviembre en el país (Venezuela) sintió que algo le faltaba, si bien es cierto, había mucho por conocer y aprender, ella tenía esa necesidad de conseguir una unión entre el ecosistema y su nicho/profesión (la marina mercante).

Investigando, fue a dar con este proyecto llamado ShipFinex. El cual, era justo la integración que estaba buscando.

Scope of web3

I am commenting on this point because, it seems to me, anyone reading this will be able to motivate and identify with it. During Mary's presentation, she commented a bit about some experiences during what has been her process of being in Web3. Something that stuck with me was that, when she was in the event that took place in November in the country (Venezuela) she felt that something was missing, although it is true, there was much to know and learn, she had the need to achieve a union between the ecosystem and her niche/profession (the merchant marine).

Researching, she came across this project called ShipFinex. Which was just the integration she was looking for.

Educación

Justo esta parte de educación, nos gustó mucho, ya que va con la visión de Dosis Web3, explicar desde lo sencillo y sin tanto tecnicismo. Fue genial que tanto Carmen como Mary explicaran de manera RPC (Rápida, Precisa y Concisa) lo que es un token, la evolución de web1, web2 y web3, economía tradicional y economía digital. Cabe destacar, en el encuentro había personas que no estaban para nada relacionadas con el ecosistema Web3, ni marítimo, entonces es precisamente lo que se busca, incorporar gente sin dar información tan engorrosa o compleja, así, queda esa curiosidad y esas ganas de seguir investigando.

Education

Just this part of education, we really liked, as it goes with the vision of Dosis Web3, explaining from the simple and without so much technicality. It was great that both Carmen and Mary explained in a RPC (Rapid, Precise and Concise) way what a token is, the evolution of web1, web2 and web3, traditional economy and digital economy. It is worth noting that in the meeting there were people who were not at all related to the Web3 ecosystem, nor maritime, so it is precisely what is sought, to incorporate people without giving so cumbersome or complex information, so, there remains that curiosity and that desire to continue investigating.

Proyecto ShipFinex

Realmente este proyecto es muy interesante. Más allá de ser un exchange, lo que me llamó la atención es el tema de tokenizar los buques mercantes (no tiene nada que ver con la marina naval), ya que son los principales activos reales del comercio y transporte marítimo y los cuales se pretenden llevar a la blockchain y que tengan representación digital y de esa manera incentivar e incluir a más personas a involucrarse e invertir en la industria marítima, todos tendrán la oportunidad de ser dueños de una fracción de una embarcación. Hasta tienen una proyección en el metaverso, no dieron mucha información sobre eso, pero está bueno, quizás pensar lo que pueden desarrollar ahí.

ShipFinex project

This project is really very interesting. Beyond being an exchange, what caught my attention is the issue of tokenizing merchant ships (it has nothing to do with the navy), as they are the main real assets of trade and shipping and which are intended to bring to the blockchain and have digital representation and thus encourage and include more people to get involved and invest in the maritime industry, everyone will have the opportunity to own a fraction of a ship. They even have a projection in the metaverse, they did not give much information about that, but it is good, maybe think what they can develop there.

Es muy grato visitar las instalaciones de Bitcoin Café, aún más si es para aprender sobre un nuevo proyecto, pasar tiempo con amigos y compartir con un café & snack.

It's great to visit the Bitcoin Café, even more so if it is to learn about a new project, spend time with friends and share a coffee & snack.

El café no me dio tiempo de tomar la foto jajajajaja andaba en modo networking hablando un poco sobre DW3, pero, fueron par de latte vainillas, con una torta que compartí junto a unas amigas que asistieron al evento, así que pude probar el ponque de naranja y el de canela, estaban divinos. Mención honorífica a los tequeños, estaban brutales.

The coffee did not give me time to take the picture hahahahahaha I was in networking mode talking a little about DW3, but, there were a couple of vanilla lattes, with a cake that I shared with some friends who attended the event, so I could try the orange and cinnamon ponque, they were divine. Honorable mention to the tequeños, they were tasty. Pd. The Poap could not be missing
