I just spoke to someone today that wondered why they don't do well on hive. and I kid you not - this was his response ...

"I'm not movitated to write posts, and I really don't feel like participating with others on their posts."

I'm not kidding. I felt like saying ... then.... I'm sorry- WHAT do you think Hive is all about??? LOL It just makes me shake my head that people expect to do well, when they don't want to make connections.

When you look at even the people who have made it BIG in the WORLD - not even Hive - just, we're talking about businesspeople, writers, singers, entertainers, fill in the blank - the thing that connects them all is... THEY DIDN'T STOP.

so why are we in a world where people think they can drop one well-written post, and then expect everyone to come running to drop votes? LOL

there are lots of good writers - great writers - amazing artists... NO ONE SEES THEM unless they are doing the consistent work of putting themselves out there and CONNECTING to others to support them and build community.

hahahaha sorry for the rant - but its just not the first person that has said something like this in the last week to me. and its frustrating for them to look at other accounts and say "well I can do that - but I won't get the same payout"

because they're NOT doing that.

They are not doing all the work behind the scenes that goes into success here - or anywhere else. They are expecting people to come to them - instead of being willing to go to others FIRST and support THEM.

Your post just hits the nail on the head. And I see a LOT of people you mentioned above (and thanks for including me) who are willing to do the work. day in , day out - to not only make themselves successful - but to lift others, community and the platform to be a success too.

and you my dear - should count yourself as one of them!!!

I'm so happy to know you - and I'm so thrilled beyond belief that you have become such a strong, important, HARD-WORKING, non-stop engaging member of the dreemport team. i love you dearly - and hope this is just the beginning of more and more wins for us all :)
