Personal mumbling about what is happening in our lives every day

If you don't question everything you see, every decision being made will affect you at some point. It is for this reason that you need to stay informed. The food and drinks you eat today are full of chemicals, some known, some unknown, which add day by day, slowly, poison to your system. Food and drinks play a critical role in your health, so take time to learn about them! Take a look at climate change and the changes happening around us. Whether you believe in it or not, your ability to stay informed is of utmost importance.

Since we all belong to this world and universe, why not learn more about what surrounds us? This is not the time to dwell on unimportant or meaningless things. Nowadays, information is everywhere! Some of you may remember how hard it used to be before the internet was available!

Back then, I had a hard time finding anything without a search engine. You had to move down to the library if you wanted to learn about a certain subject. You remember the building with a lot of books, don't you? The majority of them exist today, but they are now just a museum of books. Despite your interest in knowledge, finding materials was hard, most of the time having to rely on an old lady called ''the librarian'' (who had knowledge of a lot of subject matter and could offer guidance), or you could read all of the books about it. Also, some books were illegal in some countries and were nowhere to be found.

Now, a search engine, a click of a button, and all the information is right there in front of you. It is also cherry-picked and summarized so you don't have to read a book to figure out what you need to know. I don't have the time to do that now.
All information is handed out on silver platters! Everything you don't know is just a click away! Therefore, I must insist that you stop doing meaningless things and start asking questions about the world. Enlightenment comes from education. In today's world, education can be done via a smartphone(tablet, laptop, pc), which we all have as an extension of ourselves. Engaging only in useless social media leads to more stupidity in the long run.

You don’t agree on a subject? That's fine! Great, in fact! It is your right to have an opinion, but before you begin a useless discussion about how right you are, start learning more about the subject, so that you can present a proactive opinion and then explain your point of view. There is no justification for anything less. No, not today! To anyone trying to dumb you down, being informed is the biggest checkmate you can give.

Do not accept populist social media crap like a dumb ass that they want you to be. Instead, ask yourself why this is happening. Today's media does not seem to offer me valuable information that concerns me. Why is this?

Ask questions if you don't know the answer because the answer is right under your nose. You can find the answer to everything you need most of the time in your pocket or in front of a screen. Put your devices to use and start getting informed! After awakening yourself from the polluted mindset that we are constantly fed, you will thank yourself for doing so.
