BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge - Broken Arrows

Greetings, brave warriors of the Splinterlands! It's day off again, and I hurry to congratulate my orthodox readers with the Holy Feast of Easter, and since I have free time - joined the new round of BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge and try interesting strategies in battles with the rule of Broken Arrows.

There are quite a few archers in the game and playing without them is sometimes quite difficult. Not even the presence of a couple three strong mages will not save. But in one of the battles today I tried a combo with my favorite element of Death.

So, the rules had a combination of Broken Arrows (combat without archers) and Ferocity (strong fighters with Taunt ability get double damage from attacks) and I chose the following lineup:

WAKA SPIRITBLADE

A great summoner that gives allied cards a great ability to poison enemy cards. The extra damage is never a waste!

CURSED WINDEKU

This creepy monster is very good in the first position, and thanks to its high health and Thorns ability, it's very useful against melee cards, and even when knocked out it's pretty damn useful against melee cards.

SPINEBACK WOLF

Betting on speed attacks (which are also poisonous thanks to the summoner) has become a good habit, and this card, with its ability to attack from the second position and its excellent speed and attack parameters at a relatively low cost, is a miracle...A destructive miracle!

SILENT SHA-VI

The enemy can't do without mages or healers in the rear, so the next position goes to this awesome sneak monster. Don't forget the poisoning ability and get a real lethal weapon.

DARK ENCHANTRESS

The lack of archers is worth making up for with mages, so I decided to use this card from the classic Alpha edition. Good speed, strong attack - what else do you need to finish off the enemy tank :) ?

CORPSE FIEND & FURIOUS CHICKEN

In case my opponent uses Opportunity cards, I decided to surround my mage with this pair of free cards. A little head start for a turn or two is never a waste.

My opponent is pretty tough, and I admit that I rarely run into an epic level 3 XIA SEACHAN summoner that costs very little mana, giving me a chance to use some of the tougher monsters and just "crush the numbers". However, his combo had a very dangerous trio of level 5 cards, and the combination of WAVE RUNNER and SABRE SHARK was disappointing. So did PELACOR BANDIT.

But PEACEFUL GIANT looked like a mistake :)

The weak card trick worked and after losing my FURIOUS CHIKEN I managed to take out the enemy tank and by the beginning of the second round inflicted a lot of damage.

By the third round the qualitative advantage was finally on my side and even the mage before leaving the battlefield took my opponent's SABRE SHARK with him.

Clearly, the fourth round was the enemy's last, and I'm very pleased with how my trick of zero cards and a fast mage instead of an archer worked.

Was glad to share this experience and hope we'll meet on the battlefield and measure our strength :)

Thanks for sharing! - @lenonmc21

Good battle, but you should describe a little more about your strategy and how you thought to form your cards. Justify the text.
