I was in a conversation with one of my friends today, we were talking about great business ideas and how we can properly execute them because one thing is to have great business ideas and it is another thing to be successful. Nigeria is a good country to do business in because of the population but many factors might hinder its success.

Time/process

There is a process to everything we are doing and most times we want to jump one stage and move on to the next. Time is very important in every business and as long as we are giving it our best the customers will come around but we must not expect it to happen overnight. Time reveals many things in business such as good management, good customer service, poor location, etc. As time goes on we must keep on improving and getting it in all these aspects to keep our customers because Time will expose any fault and people will see clearly.

Another thing is bitterness

It is normal to have people talking about what you are doing, especially if they don't understand it but we have so many bitter people in the country that poverty and different situations have made them bitter and they will not see good in things you are doing. Bitterness is one of those things that are stopping a lot of businesses from progressing.

In a country where people are unemployed, it is easy for people to sport you and notice you especially if you are living in a local area. Unlike some countries where the rich are separated from the poor. Nigeria is a country where the rich-poor build houses anywhere they like and this gives room for more bitterness. any form of protest going on in the country your business is what that will target and destroy. Bitterness still affects many businesses in Africa.

What about location

The location has always been the major problem when it comes to businesses in Nigeria and many entrepreneurs have always had these challenges. Some people already know the importance of location and where is likely for the forms of business they the idea to succeed but there might be space or too much competition in the same area.

Some of these people are even smart using the power of the internet but trying to do deliveries that work but not as effective as having success online and where your business is located.

Conclusion

So many reasons for a business to fail but these are the few I will be talking about today. Time is very important and so we must enjoy the process as we build our business. Bitterness is common around here finding a way to deal with it is a thing and location is very important in starting up every business as well and if we get it wrong our business is destined to fail.

Thanks for your time.

A lot depends on a business to succeed, having a physical business in location suitable for it is one of the wins for success and yes no business owner wants his or her business targeted for destruction during protests, that will be a big setback.

It is just how the small.and medium scale businesses can be sentimental about each other. What they do not know is that if you know your onions well, you will be sought after religiously. Likewise, the sky is big enough for all kinds of birds to fly with hitting one another!!
