Hello EDS'ers. Today is the day we issue the EDS weekly report to keep all your guys up to date and let you know how things are going.
What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that pays out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total power up the balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of over 35%.
(Example of how the HIVE income pool is worked out)
- EDS is pegged to 1 HIVE per token
- 12% of over 98,000 HIVE POWER pays out (98000*12/52.18) 225.37 per week
- EDS in circulation each yield (121.88/24900) 0.0071 HIVE per week
- 0.0071 each week for 1 year (52.18) equals 0.368 HIVE
- 1 EDS pays out a HIVE income of roughly 36.8% per year
EDS tokens launched with a hardcap of 500,000 and a public sale of 20,000 tokens each issued for 1 HIVE each. The only way to mint new EDS tokens is by owning and staking either EDS miners (EDSM) are EDS mini miners (EDSMM) tokens. These miners when full issued and staked will yield a 20% minimum ROI per year.
EDS converts all earnings, airdrops, tribe tokens into HIVE. This account is 100% focused on powering up as much HIVE as possible. It's just that single-minded. This projects weekly saving club content is run by @shanibeer and wallet by @silverstackeruk both on behalf of SPinvest. This is a long term project and should be viewed as a token to stack up and HODL. Buy some miners, let them mint you some EDS tokens, build a pile and collect weekly HIVE dividends. In other words, buy some EDSM miners and forget about it. Add a few every week/month and watch your EDS pile grow. You can also buy EDS directly from the market, if you add a buy order for any amount at 1 HIVE each, it'll get filled. It might take a few days but it'll get filled as some miners like to sell their mining rewards right away to lock in them profits.

Lets get a look at the charts this week
There have been 290 EDS minted week, i have decided to do the EDS report before i start working on EDSvote. This means that the EDS minted from EDSvote will not show until next week on this report.
We got a nice boost to HP this week thanks to @hoosie and his "Saturday Savers Club - Author of the Week". The past 10 weeks are so looking pretty flat but if you squint hard enough you can see this week shows as a bump :)
HIVE POWER is increasing nicely and I look forward to EDSvote starting to make some good curation rewards and we'll get another boost.
The HIVE income payment this week has increased a little to 235.61 HIVE this week in total. Next target is 250 HIVE. To get there we need a HP balance of 104,240 which should only take a few months all being well.
The EDS APY has dipped this week as it has been doing but this week's dip was smaller than normal which was awesome. The APY is still 34.64% which is killer. Even with EDSs APY planned declines, it'll take a year before we see under 25% so there is plenty of life left.
How do you build a HIVE income that only ever increases over time?
If the EDS project sounds right up your street, there are 2 ways to get your hands on EDS tokens. Building a HIVE income is one of those things when it's better to get started sooner than later. We all put money aside for a pension/old age with the money we earn from jobs, why not do the same with blockchain earnings? If blockchain is the future, why not be playing the game of life 3 steps ahead of everyone else? There's no day like day to start increasing your income and the snowball effect is real when you have patience.

Weekly Roundup
Ok, that is this week's EDS report done, it's time for me to go and do EDSvote and get those EDS minted and distributed to delegators. What im seeing as curation earning on HiveStats is not matching up with what HP i can claim so i need to figure that out.

Some weeks ago I tried to buy some miners on hive engine but gave up after a week of waiting for the order to be filled?
Any advice on how to proceed would be helpful. 👍🏼
seems to be as more time goes by the price goes up. Getting EDS and EDSMM at 1 HIVE used to be easy, but maybe those days are gone.
Sorry, there is no advice I can really give. Im personally looking to buy more as well at 1 HIVE but my buyers orders are not getting lately either.

Miners have an APY of 20% and EDS of >30%. Miners are programmed to pay for 20 years or so and EDS have no limit set. I guess offers may need to include a premium to account for that. People are more likely to unload when they need liquidity for something else, rather than having a regular selling programme, so offers may need to be there for a long time.
You can still mint new EDS by delegating to @eds-vote - (info here).

I read the post linked above and left a comment. I'd like to know a ratio of how much hp to delegate to receive x EDS.
I know it involves a bit of a guesstimate but a ball park number would be useful.
How much hp to delegate would earn 100 EDS in a month for example?

We're still working out the actual return now that curation rewards are starting to come through. The model is based on a minimum return of 4%, so I guess to achieve:
100 EDS in 30 days: 100 EDS x 12 months / 4 x 100 = 30,000 HP
100 EDS in 12 months: 100 EDS / 4 x 100 = 2,500 HP
I'm doing fine - have my first cold since 2019, but otherwise good 😍.
I'm waiting for another Cambridge meetup - really enjoyed that 😜

Yep I had a cold recently for the first time in years. Weird how a pandemic shut down cold and flu? Masks maybe?
