More about EDS tokens

EDS tokens are a low-risk income token, ideal for people who want to save. There were only 20,000 originally and they were all sold at 1 Hive each, with guaranteed earnings of 12% each year. You can now acquire EDS tokens through the EDS Miner token.

Earnings come from powering up and leasing out the Hive that came from selling the tokens, plus earnings from posts and comments each week. EDS pays out every Monday evening. Last week the pay out was equivalent to 23%.

1. Check Progress

Each week, we're going to check in through this post and see where we are up to. Our target for today, 6 November, was 22.49p. Next week, we'll be saving 22.98p and by Saturday we'll have saved 505.78p (that's 50,578p just compounding a penny a day)! 😁.

Each week, I'll be buying Hive for @susie-saver's account with the pennies we've saved.

Here's this week's results - 22.49p buys 27.426 Hive.
1040 Hive powered up in 45 weeks and the remainder invested in EDS and EDSM! Plus we're earning 3.22% inflation on powered up Hive, 20% on EDSM, 23% on EDS tokens and a little on curating and posting!

Tell that magic wheel thank you from me. It was good timing, as I had to use a couple EDS and a few other tokens to come up with 100 hive for a project, but that's why we have savings accounts.

Sunday I will end up re-purchasing some of what was sold, and this time I think I will not over buy and try to build a small HiveP balance for those I want to buy something.

Here is my Week 45 report. We're almost to week 52. I can't believe how fast time is just moving along:

@susie-saver, once you hit 1K HP, you're moving right along.

I'm at 13.6K in my HP. I've slowed down on my power up amount in recent months, so my account hasn't grown as fast. I'm utilizing my liquid to make additional crypto purchases off Hive for other coins and tokens.

I've tokenized several pieces of art in the past two months, and it costs 5 Hive for the 1st piece in the collection. It's expensive if you have several different projects.

I transferred my 6.65 HBD to savings for the Autumn Savings Challenge. Still on track and growing my HBD Savings nicely at 389.577 HBD.

Also, I finally completed my October No-Buy Month report. I fell short of my 10% saving goal of $300. I added more expenditures for the start of my holiday purchases. I'm not disappointed because I did manage to save about $190.

Very uneventful week to be honest, girlfriend tested positive for the rona's. Was a bit scary since she's pregnant too but symptoms were mild so that was a huge relief. The semi lockdown for a week again was annoying again especially since it was my birthday too..

Oh well, on to next week and hopefully a more normal one. Hive and splinterlands have been good though. Got a legendary Osshanus from rewards and was pleasantly surprised by the BXT airdrop, so good stuff did happen in that regard!
