Ferruccio Elio Arturo Lamborghini, better known as Ferruccio Lamborghini, was an Italian manufacturer of tractors and sports cars, founder of the Lamborghini brand.
According to a certain story, Lamborghini would have founded his car company due to a dispute with Enzo Ferrari. According to that story, after World War II, Lamborghini owned sports cars, including a Ferrari. Ferruccio noted that some of the clutch components were the same as those used by his tractors, as well as he was experiencing reliability complications with his Ferrari. One day he went to see Enzo Ferrari to complain about technical problems with his cars. Ferrari insulted Lamborghini, saying "a tractor manufacturer is not going to teach me how to make sports cars." And affronted by Ferrari's reaction, Lamborghini decided to "build a car better than a Ferrari" and prove that supercars shouldn't be as temperamental as Ferraris.
