Content Inc. Best Takeaways - Audience Building!
Hello everyone!
I will be covering the best takeaways from the book I'm reading with the CTP Mastermind Group.
To know more about the book, you can click on the image above and it will redirect to its main website, or just follow me for the next few posts!
Part 5 is about audience building, some ways to do and maintain it. Because gathering people towards you and your content may be slightly easy, the most challenging part is providing enough quality to make them stay.
Focusing on creating a subscriber database is developing a customer database before you actually have customers to sell to.

Chapter 13 TakeAway - The Email Relationship
This part made me realise a better way to start my email series while building my list!
When someone signs up for my newsletter, they get an auto-generated email from me that asks, 'Why did you subscribe and what is it you hope to learn here?' I track that and it clues me in to what people expect from me so that I can create content that matches their needs. I love it when people respond to those questions and tell me who they are and what brought them here. Then I write back to them and they're always like, what? Holy wow.

People still don't realise how much power they can have while building a mailing list.
Chapter 14 TakeAway - Make Guest Appearances in OPC
As soon as I got what OPS stands for, it was a no-brainer!
Engaging with Other People's Content is one of, if not the best ways to bring awareness of yourself to others. Showing up every day to certain events like webinars or just other people's posts and support them will contribute to a nice growth of relationships!
Chapter 15 TakeAway - Create Content Worth Sharing
This chapter talks about influencers and how to steal their audience. Some of the content creators here on Hive can be considered influencers. In order to get their attention, you need to present some good quality content.

Getting their upvote might be a good start but having them tagging you on their posts or events is the ultimate goal. So their audience can notice you, bringing more awareness to you.
For that, you need to keep creating and improving.
Chapter 16 TakeAway - Focus, Test, Customize
This is similar to my takeaway in chapter 8.
Pick one or two social media platforms and check their communities, groups that resonate with your target niche, test them out for a while if they work for you and customize, adapt your content to the specific platform.

My thoughts so far
This might be difficult for most people because it also takes time and effort as creating content.
Everyone likes to think big, which is understandable. But to go big, you need to start small. Like good quality content, you will also need a good quality audience. It's much better to have a small group with a good engagement and relationship than a bigger group of inactive people.
Consistency is not only in creating content but is also in keeping the audience. So you need to keep providing value!
That's about it for today!

I like these takeaways especially the "Focus, Test, Customize" Things are always changing, peoples taste are always changing, we are always changing. If we do the same thing over and over and expect different results, we are fooling ourselves.
Such a big fact!
Embracing the change can help you grow so much! Even if the change leads to failure, you will learn from it and grow/improve and move to the next!
Thank you, David!

Jon in a thong is always a great way to build an audience.
Not sure it is the desired one but it will attract an audience.

Lol I see you are on NOise and Torum (although your torum link is broken btw) and when I checked out Noise I was already subscribed... So I must have read some good stuff from you there already otherwise I do not subscribe.
But okay that was just a side note, How to start a newsletter, as that might be interesting. Do you have any posts or links on how to get that of the ground?
I've been a bit away from those platforms that I didn't notice the change of the Torum link so thank you lol
Building a mailing list is one of the biggest things ClickTrackProfit try to teach besides building a brand so I might have a post or two somewhere. I can try to come up with something for my next BP Weekly since it's connected with content marketing.

Will go through your posts as it is one of the few things I am really lacking atm !CTP
