Trezor or Ledger?

Let's continue to look into the hardware wallets. I realize that different hardware wallets connect to different web wallets. So when we decide to get our own hardware wallet, we will need to choose accordingly. Basically this is a comparison between Trezor and Ledger only. I didn't take SafePal into consideration because SafePal is more on the go and I want to have a hardware wallet that is able to connect to the website.

Ok, let's see what I found.

Metamask - can connect to Ledger, Trezor.
Ronin - connect to Trezor only.
TronLink - connect to Ledger only.
Binance Chain Wallet - connect to Ledger only.
Terra Station - connect to Ledger only.
Polkadot js - connect to Ledger only.

I have all these web wallets and yes, majority of them were hacked and drained two weeks ago. So I am really started to look into the security of how to protect my assets in these web wallets. By looking at this comparison, seems like Ledger is the hardware wallet that can support most of these web wallets.

But if you play Axie Infinity, and if you wanna keep your Axie safe in a hardware wallet, then Trezor is the only choice.

So I hope this can give you some help in deciding your hardware wallet. And don't think that, nah I don't need one hardware wallet, I don't have much. Nope, no matter we have a lot or a little on hand, our asset is our asset. We have to make it our habit to protect our own asset.

Ok. Stay safe!

You have the Trezor One or Trezor T? How is it?
I am now scared using Metamask and other web wallet. Feels like somebody is eyeing on my wallets all the time. Scary. Panaroid.

I have the cheaper Trezor one (I have also used a ledger, Trezor is much better IMO).

You can connect Trezor with MM - it creates a new Trezor locked account, so any time you want to transfer funds you do so via metamask but you have to confirm it via your trezor, which has to be plugged into your PC to do so - all done via Trezor Suite.

Just make sure you buy one via the official Trezor Website!

Details on how to connect to MM here (it's from Binance, but not exclusive to Binance, instructions are more general.

I feel much more secure now.

I literally set this up only last week, it was smooth as anything and works just fine.

How did you get hacked? That would be useful for people to see if they are similarly vulnerable

I actually shared it in my post last week. It's my own fault for downloading the software and its crack file. The software I download was Wondershare Uniconverter. It has ransomware hidden in the crack file I think. And it didn't cross my mind that my wallets would be drained. Because when it happened I was not logged into any of the wallets. A very painful and expensive lesson.
