Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Mycelic Slipspawn + Blast!
Hey folks, Welcome to this week's social media challenge for the online blockchain game #splinterlands. Here is the Link to enter the challenge.
Each week i will feature a different Monster + Ability with a Battle. This week i am featuring the monster known as the Mycelic Slipspawn!
This is a great Water Splinter monster from Chaos Legion as he has the Taunt ability which can be used to great effect in thr Explosive Weaponry rule set.
Splinterlore
Mycelic Slipspawn was first found on the edges of the swamps of Praetoria, in areas where the fetid waters meet with the forests and jungles. It is highly toxic and grows to a substantial size. Death is uncommon for those who touch its fibrous body however, the side effects of its toxins can cause a long list of illnesses and disease, leaving its victims severely debilitated.
Rarity: Rare
Element: Earth
Attack: Magic
Abilities: Taunt at level 1, Forcefield at Level 4 and Slow at Level 8.
As you can see from the stats below this is a pretty decent card.
This is a great Earth Splinter Summoner as he grants +1 magic to all friendly monsters . Sadly this will be cancelled oout by the Silenced Summoner's rule set.
My tank for this battle is the mighty Nectar Queen !! She can really do some damage with 4 hit points and the Flying abilty paired with high speed make her very hard to hit.
This magical goblin is here to provide healing support for Nectar Queen with the Tank Heal ability.
The Nymph is here for all the same reasons. Extra magic Tank Heal should make my tank almost indestructible !
This monster has great stats for only 4 mana.
We have the featured card at the rear to make use of the Taunt abilty to create less damage from the Blast abilty.
Round 1 begins and we see our first fatality when Sabre Shark destroys my Goblin Thief with a Blast.
As expected Mycelic Slipspawn is the next to die due to Taunt but he managed to reduce the damage taken by other monsters.
Round 2 kicks off and it doesn't look good as i only have 3 cards left against 6!
We are off to a bad start with the enemies Water Elemental killing Goblin Psychic.!
Nectar Queen steps up and finally makes a kill.! She takes out 2 monstets with Blast! Namely Sea Monstet and Deeplurker. Looks like the tide is turning.
Sadly Wood Nymph is then destroyed by Demented Shark.
Round 3 begins with Nectar Queen wiping out Feasting Seaweed. Watch as she picks off the rest of the enemy!
This was a really great Battle and i am sure i will use the same line up again.
