Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Waka Spìritblade
Hey folks, Welcome to this week's social media challenge for the online blockchain game #splinterlands. Here is the Link to enter the challenge.
Each week i will feature a different Monster + Ability with a great Battle. This week i am featuring the infamous Promo card called Waka Spiritblade.
The was a special promo card that has caused some controversy recently due to the extremely high price tag and limited availability so i thought i should rent it out and give it a proper testing to see how it actually performs on the battlefield!
Edition: Promo
Rarity: Legendary
Element: Death
Abilities: Grants all friendly monsters with the Poison ability.
Waka is from a rare tribe of magical people known as Malphurs. They decorate their bodies with intricate tattoos and the bones of creatures they hunted in the swamps and forests as children. The greatest and most powerful Malphurs from each family have earned the right to wear the skull of their ancestor. This great honor further enhances their magical strength, imbuing the wearer with devastating abilities.
The Poison ability is triggered 50% of the time. Poison does damage at the end of the turn and is not affected by shield or void
Holy Protection - All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability which means the first hit is ignored.
Neither of these Rulesets will effect my strategy in any way.
This great summoner will grant everyone in my team the Poison ability making them extremely dangerous as they have a 50% chance of poisoning their opponent on every attack.
First Place: Goblin Mech
My tank for this battle has to be the mighty Goblin Mech due to his massive stats which make him a formidable opponent and as he is in the Neutral Splinter i can play him in almost any battle.
Second Place: Cursed Windeku
This great Death monster is here to take over the tank position when Goblin Mech is defeated. As he has the Heal ability he should be able to stay alive long enough to make a difference.
Although he cannot attack from this position he also has the excellent Thorns ability which means he can at least retaliate if he receives any melee attacks.
Third Place: Prismatic Energy
In third position we have Magic attack support from Prismatic Energy. With 10 Health and 2 hit points this monster can do some damage.
The massive 4 speed points will also make it very hard to hit and the Magic Reflect ability always works well when receiving magic attacks.
Fourth Place: Silent Sha-Vi
We have Sha-Vi in this position to take out the enemy from the rear with the excellent Sneak ability and a respectable 3 hit points!.
This monster has some great stats for only 5 mana especially at higher levels.
Fifth Place: Lira The Dark
In fifth place providing range support we have a monster i only discovered recently. Lira has some great stats! and a pair of nice abilities ;) lol
The Snare ability will help take down any flying monsters and the Opportunity ability is always good to have on your team. This also works really well alongside a monster with Sneak.
Sixth Place: Cornealus
In last position we have the massive eyeball called Cornealus. This is one of my favorite monsters and i love the whole concept and artwork on this card.
Cornealus is here to provide ranged attack from the rear and with 12 health and the Heal ability he is a very hard monster to kill. When you add the Thorns ability he becomes a very nasty spikey killing machine!
Round 1 kicks off with Lira The Dark attacking Stitch Leech and afflicting him with poison. The enemies tank Uriel The Purifier is also poisoned after being struck by Prismatic Energy! It looks like this strategy is going to work well.
The round ends with no fatalities!
Round 2 begins and immediately we see our first death with Stitch Leech being wiped out due to the poison affliction removing health at the start of each round!!
The round ends with my tank monster Goblin Mech being killed aftr taking double hits from Pelacor Arbelest with the excellent Double Strike ability. Not to worry though as Cursed Windeku now steps up to become my new tank with the very effective Thorns ability.
At the start of round 3 we see Lira attacking Uriel and she uses her Snare ability to remove his Flying ability. This will make him easier to destroy.
He is then quickly defeated after taking hits from Prismatic Energy and Cornealus.
Round 4 begins with the enemies Portal Spinner monster being destroyed by Silent Sha-Vi. Sadly my tank Cursed Windeku is then killed by Djinn Renova!
We get instant revenge when Cornealus wipes out Renova and round 5 begins with Silent Sha-Vi killing Pelecor Arbelest!
The battle is over when Adalaide Brightwing is obliterated by Cornealus!
This was a great battle and the Poison ability granted by Waka really helped win the day.
I have been really impressed with this Summoner and i will continue to rent him to cover me for those unavoidable Death Splinter battles.
At $1400 this is a very expensive card to purchase but it only comes as a fully maxed out level 4 Legendary which is the equivalent of 11 Legendary cards. This is still $127 per card which seems way to expensive to me.
Hope you enjoyed reading this post..
If you sign up with my Referral Link and purchase the Summoner's Spellbook i will 0delegate you 5 cards to help you get started. At least one of these will be rare or higher.
