Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge - Scavengers

This week we have a bit of a change as it is not monster that is being featured but an ability. The ability is scavenger. This means that the monster receives 1 health point whenever anyone on the battlefield is killed. Pretty nasty character then.
Apparently there are 9 monsters with this ability but I only have 2. I have Ant Miners and Gelatinous Cube. Ant miners is a great monster for low many battles and Gelatinous Cube works really well in the Noxious Fumes Ruleset.
I have had both these cards for a while but I rarely use either one in my current battles.
For this battle I used Gelatinous Cube.
One night when the moons were full, the renegades of the Lunta Kalna performed a secret and powerful ritual. Their ceremony called forth forces of wind, rain and hail; for the first time ever in recorded history, there was a hailstorm in Draykh-Nahka. Except it wasn’t only hail that fell from the sky that night. There were also a small number of strange Cubes that seemed to be alive. They have the look of ice, but upon contact with most objects, the surface of the Cube turns to jelly and absorbs the object. It is assumed that this is how the Cubes eat. When attacked, Gelatinous Cubes can make their outer shell as hard as solid ice for a short time. They can also alter their size to some degree, swelling up and increasing their power, depending on how much they have absorbed that day.
Battle Line Up + Strategy
Summoner: Chanseus The Great
This is my favorite card and not just because its worth a few quid now. I bought my first for $7 and the next 2 for $10 each. Its now worth $60.
The reason I love this monster so much are the 3 amazing abilities he provides. Repair, Triage and Resurrect.
Goblin Mech - In the front we have my all time favorite Tank monster. Goblin Mech is one of the best tank cards out there since it is from the Neutral splinter, which means it can be played in almost any battle.
I have mine at level 5 currently but he is limited to level 3 for this battle.
Divine Healer - This is a great life splinter card with Tank Heal ability. This restores a portion of the health of the monster in first position each round.
Between this and my summoners Repair and Resurrect abilities my tank is hard to defeat
Gelatinous Cube - This is the featured card or I probably would not have used it in this battle. I have only found it useful in the Noxious Fumes Ruleset.
Creeping Ooze - Slimy is here simple to slow my opponents monsters down.
Furious Chicken - As always I have the formidable Furious Chicken in the rear to absorb any damage from an opponents sneak attack.
So the warriors enter the battleground and I don't think I have much to worry about. My opponent has the same tank but mine is 2 levels higher and also mine is being healed each round.
I am a little worried that the opponent's Fire Elemental monster could be a problem for my Divine healer with the Blast ability which does additional damage to the monster next to the monster being targeted!
If I can take out his tank then its a win.
The first round begins with the opponent's summoner giving a +1 speed buff which is then counteracted by my Creeping Ooze ! The Fire Elemental takes a shot at my tank and does additional damage to Divine Healer.
Goblin Chariot and Goblin Mech then booth take a shoot at my Tank monster. He the retaliates with a nice -4 hit to the Opponent's tank.
Round 2 begins with my tanks health and armour being repaired and healed thanks to Chanseus the Great and Divine Healer.
The rest of this round carries on the same as the first with each monster taking a shot at my tank.
Round 3 begins with my tank being killed after taking 3 hits but he is magical Resurrected by Chansues the Great. Divine Healer provides some health and then goes on to obliterate Goblin Mech !
Job Done.
In round 4 my Goblin Mech destroys Goblin Chariot leaving victory ensured.
Round 5 begins with my tank killing Fire Elemental and Divine Healer destroys creeping ooze.
I think Furious Chicken Just laid an egg. lol
In the end having Gelatinous Cube on the line up never made any difference. the battle would have been won regardless. I am not much of a fan of this ability. Never liked vultures.
