Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge - Zyvax Vuul
Hey folks 😁 Graham here.
Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Here is the original post if you want to enter a battle yourselves.
This week we are featuring a common Earth Splinter monster called Zyvax Vuul.
I do love writing about the Dragon Splinter and this monster is new to me so this is a good chance to review it properly.
This is a really great Ranged attack monster specifically because it has the Close Range ability which means it can attack from any position.
This monster could be used in many battle situations but it will definitely perform better in high mana battles so he can get to utilise the Recharge abilty properly.
Zyvax Vuul has dedicated his life to understanding the arcane, covering his body in potent sigils, golden runes that glow with power and feed him his unnatural strength and speed. It has been said that he his knowledge of dragon magic is rivalled by no other and he has been given the tile of ‘The Keeper of Dragons’, but rumour also circulates surrounding a voracious, cannibalistic appetite. Whatever the case, he is not only feared throughout Praetoria, but also within the Chaos Legion itself.
Abilities: Flying + Recharge at level 1. Close Range at level 2 and Deathblow at level 4.
This is a 29 mana level battle with all Splinters allowed except Fire + Life.
I have 5 cards in this battle against 6!
Dragon vs Death
Ruleset = Close Range + Noxious Fumes.
This is easily my favorite Dragon summoner as he grants +1 magic to all friendly monsters which can be used to great effect especially when paired up with the Water Splinter.
Sea Monster is always my tank in Water battles as he has massive health and the Heal ability and a massive 5 hit points at level 5.
The Djinn is here in second place to provide magic attack support for Sea Monster. He will also benefit from the 1 magic buff from Delwyn giving him 3 hit points and a massive 11 health.
Zyvax is here to provide Ranged attack from the rear and hopefully he will survive long enough to utilise the Recharge ability and do triple the damage!
This monster is here simply to take a hit for the team just like the sacrificial Chicken in last place.
She is here basically as Cannon Fodder....!!!
As the warriors enter the arena we get our first look at the enemy and although they have a few Gold cards i am not too worried. The order they have used seems a bit wrong.
Round 1 passes with no fatalities.
Round 2 begins with a mass poisining due to the Noxious Fumes ruleset and this takes out 2 of my monsters namely Torrent Fiend and Furious Chicken. Not a great start to the round but this also effects the enemy and they lose 3 monsters namely Furious Chicken, Creeping Ooze and Carrion Shade.
Round 3 kicks off with Djinn Oshannus wiping out the enemies tank Harklaw! Sadly my tank the Sea Monster is then killed by Octopider!
Round 4 begins with the enemies Haunted Spirit being destroyed after taking hits from both Oshannus and Zyvax but ends badly with Octopider killing Oshannus.!!
In round 5 Octopider dies from poisin.
This was a great battle and i woud use the same line up and strategy again. Thanks for reading.
Check out the Great Battle to see him in action!
If you sign up with my Referral Link and purchase the Summoner's Spellbook i will delegate you 5 cards to help you get started. At least one of these will be rare or higher.
