The excitements never stops as the champions league continues

Last night saw some actions being played around Europe as various teams from top flight league kick off the day three matches in the champions league which was quite entertaining with surprising and history making was achieved last night.

Liverpool were in action last night against Atletico Madrid away from home which saw them became victorious in a 3-2 win against the Spanish champions Atletico Madrid where Egyptian player Mohammed Salah became Liverpool's record UEFA Champions League goalscorer, against the Spanish side in the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

It was a hard fought battle for both teams in the Spanish soil as both teams showed quality style of play and remarkable effort to secure victory but it was the English side who took up all three points at the end of the game. The game started well for the visitors as they were two goals up in the opening 15th minutes of the game which saw the Spanish side concede that early two goals in a UCL match for the first time in their history.

Liverpool were the first to dominate the game in the early stages, as Mohammed Salah with his remarkable effort skipped past three men before striking the ball past Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak with the help of a deflection to put the visitors infront. The goal which saw the Egyptian marked his ninth consecutive game he has scored in - adding to another 'Reds' record.

With Liverpool dominance in the game, the second goal came in as Naby Keïta ran onto a poor clearance and smashed a heavy spectacular volley in front in the edge of the box to make it 2-0 for the away side.

The game was looking uneasy for Diego Simeone's men despite winless in four home UCL matches, it looked or seems like another was quickly slipping or adding to that tally but they some how find their way in the game as they sparked into life by equalizing the two goals deficit in first half before half time, thanks to goals from Antoine Griezmann who put Atletico Madrid back to the game with Liverpool's poor defensive error which saw the French man got those goals to put the Spanish side back to the game.

The second half started as both side went head to head against each other in search of the winner, but the game later wasn't looking good for the Spanish side as Antoine Griezmann picked up a red card and also became the first player in UCL history to score a brace then see red, for a rough tackle and was dismissed for the wild act, as his high boot caught Roberto Firmino on the side of the head.

Atlético Madrid problem increased in the game as Mario Hermoso bundled Diogo Jota down in the box which resulted to a penalty being awarded to Liverpool and it was the Egyptian who step up to take the spot-kick and did not mistake by converting it to make it 3-2 to put the 'reds' in front and also secure all three points as Jürgen Klopp’s men in the process go five points clear at the top of Group B with nine points.

Dramatic comeback as Messi secures victory for PSG

It was a hard cracker in Paris as PSG had to come from behind to earn a 3-2 victory against German side RB Leipzig in a five goal thriller at the Parc des Princes which saw the Argentine Lionel Messi scored a brace to ensure the hosts reclaimed top spot in their UEFA Champions League group.

Both sides started well as they demonstrated their ability on the counter attack, but it was PSG who were the first to take advantage,to score first in the game in the early ten minutes of the match. German player Julian Draxler found the French man Kylian Mbappé on the break, with a fine pass to deliver an absolute finish to put the French champions infront. The goal with high quality saw the 22-year-old score his first Champions League goal of the season.

Though the German side were relentless as they find way to get back to the match and that finally pave way for them as PSG struggled to defend the wide areas, and André Silva has no intention but to equalize for the away side to make it 1-1 before half time.

RB Leipzig continued their fine form in the second half as Jesse Marsch’s side continued to exploit the wings in search of a goal and eventually took the lead ten minutes after the restart of the second half as Angeliño provided a superb cross to fellow wing-back Nordi Mukiele, who converted the ball in the net with a deserved lead to put the visitors in front with a 2-1 lead.

The hosts were relentless as they responded quickly with a change of system to level the score line to 2-2. When Morrocan Achraf Hakimi forced a turnover in the pitch setting klyian Mbappé away to square up Messi, who converted with a fine finish at the second attempt after his first effort was tipped onto the post to level the score line.

Paris saint German continue to mount pressure on their opponent as Draxler and Mbappé continued to terrorise the Leipzig defence on the counter to secure effort to score, with the latter effort winning a penalty after being fouled by Mohamed Simakan. Who saw the Argentine Lionel Messi stepped up to take the kick and eventually did with a fine finish in spectacular style, chipping the ball in the centre of the goal to put PSG back in front with a 3-2 win.

five star man city demolish club brugge away from home

Manchester City were victorious last night as they eased past Club Brugge in a 5-1 score line away from home to secure all three points. The Premier League champions came bursting out in expected fashion, as they dominate possession and control throughout the game.

The Belgian club found it difficult to emerge from their own half as the pressure mounted on them was unable to bear as Phil Foden played a fantastic ball over the top for João Cancelo who made no mistake by converting it to make it 1-0 for the away side.

The English side continue with their dominance as they increase their tally to two when just few minutes later when Riyad Mahrez was brought down in the penalty box by Stanley N’Soki where they were being awarded a penalty. The
penalty was then converted by the Algerian himself Riyad Mahrez doubling the lead before half time.

Pep Guardiola’s men continued their impressive play in the second half as they outclassed the Belgian side again by scoring their third goal in the game with a wonderful superb attack down the right-hand side which saw Kevin De Bruyne slide in Kyle Walker's ball to make it 3-0 for the ‘Cityzens’.

Man City didn't show any form of slowing down as they extended their lead again when 19-year-old Cole Palmer scored his first ever Champions League goal against club brugge with his curling effort into the bottom right corner of Mignolet’s net after being played in by fellow substitute Raheem Sterling to make it 4-0.

Club brugge however, got a 81st-minute consolation goal from Hans Vanaken to make it 4-1 for the fans to cheer up.The goal however meant nothing to the away side as Riyad Mahrez scored his second goal of the night three minutes later, securing an impressive 5-1 victory for the visitors.
