Merry Christmas 2022, beautiful people, a pleasure to participate in this initiative to capture experiences on this date so unique and special, as is the birth of the child God, being a magical day, because the whole family meets either in presence or video call, yesterday was very harmonious, with the traditional dish, which contained pernil baked, hallaca of meat and chicken, raw salad with chicken, banquet bread and delicious ham bread, to complete the majestic dish, without leaving aside a soft drink of Pepsi -cola.

Its preparation takes work, so it must be done at least two days in advance, with the preparation of the stew in general, whether it is the hallaca and the pernil, in the region of the Andes in Venezuela, we have the tradition of leaving the stew raw, to be cooked with the hallaca and the respective pernil in their respective cooking time.

This dish is made with the contribution of the whole family, for its preparation is costly and complex because it takes a lot of work, but with union everything is possible.

It has ingredients such as paprika, round onion, celery Spain, garlic, oregano, olives, sultanas, bay leaves, prepared sauces of soy, English and garlic, whose amounts vary according to the tastes of each creator. Yesterday I published in TOP FAMILY, the elaboration of the pernil being the main dish in the Christmas dinner.

Cooking is a very beautiful and tasty art, where we explore tastes and flavours, whether in food or drink. At home we prepare all the complements of the dish.

Christmas is a symbol of union, peace and prosperity in each of the homes, whose dishes go hand in hand with the food of each user, for some the pernil is not of liking, being the chicken the substitute and instead of bread are fries or baked potatoes. Everything is variant. The important thing is to share, whether with a little or a lot, where two eat, three eat.

At home on the 24th of December, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, we only bake the pork leg and make the salads, my speciality this year being made with potatoes, carrots, beetroot, egg and breast, all the ingredients cooked, then cleaned and chopped into small pieces, to add the mayonnaise, mustard, a touch of salt and a drizzle of oil and we obtain a delicious salad, super fast and delicious, for any occasion.

The marinated pork leg, as I described in yesterday's posts, is placed in a baking dish to be left in the oven for the correct amount of time, the smell of which spreads throughout the house.

While waiting for it to cook, the family gathers to talk and express anecdotes of their work and daily experiences, with messages of reflection between wines and cream punch.

Family is the best gift we have.

Once the pernil is ready, we serve the traditional dish, where each of the members collaborate in serving the salad, the hallaca, the pernil, and the ham bread, all in union for the same purpose, to share.

And as in every home, there is always one person who is dedicated in all areas, the decorations are an exemplary plan, for any occasion, being the creative member that is in every home, being the born innovator who arranges the table, to serve the food. Then we thank God for everything and the plate allowed to be consumed and shared.
