The EFFECT of TECHNOLOGY on Our kids:What’s your preposition

Hello friends and parent of Hive,it’s fast becoming a thing of concern to me and just beginning to been uncomfortable with it….

It is quite clear that we are in the 21st century and almost everything is now digitalized and we all running on a fast lane, it’s automatic era by the way so it’s fine that we are evolving to something better greater than it was before,off course I mean the dream of every parent is that their kids should not experience what they went thru so all we do is to give them a better and suitable life…..

While Doing This Are we Building Values in Them?
Everything happening so fast we could barely pause and observe the trend,especially for parent that are constantly running after jobs with little or no time to spend with the kids, week days to weekends, no quality time and do you find out that these kids gradually falling off from the grip of parent to starting the lifestyle of their own with peer group influence
That’s not even the case, for some parent who thought that comfort is everything and so enrich themselves with all the nice and wonderful expensive things they could get, leaves a very big vacuum in this kids for other vices to take place….

A 5year old could handle and Android devices better than a 45year old,computer systems, and know so much about technology computers and gadgets better, you will be surprise that your 6year old could pick up your tab and place an order on Amazon, explain the weather forecast for the week and could asses information better thank you….

I literally do not counter that,all the drives for technology advancements in this era is wrong off course the explosion will be twice this effect in the future generations but my concern is in building values, Reading Habits, morals ,ethics,principles self esteem,self control and self discipline in our kids, you somehow we are to be blame for all these,When Was The last Time you had A Heart To Heart Talk with You girl child,or your boy childCause while you are busy roaming about seeking papers and a better life they are constantly spending time on the internet with their phones or pc's and listening to friends

Am From Africa, in here parent child bonding is a necessity especially the girl child,getting her ready for marriage and the aspect of culture and tradition this two are so important, if with this fast lane drive we are in in future generations then all the cultural and traditional ethics must have been gone with the wind, they fast adapt to new technologies and new lifestyles.

Spending Quality Time With Your family
In as much as things are pretty moving so fast the place of family bonding should not be left out, take a break, retrace your track, go on a picnic,seat out watch movies together and joke about anything…… when you spend time with you kids and less time on the laptop or at work..it point out one thing that you value them and that they have a special place in your heart,with these they are open to telling you anything that borders them…..and then the communication line will be wide open

Families should make it a pattern to spend time with each other especially weekends or attending a friends wedding or party or some sort of get together hangout more with these over Reliance on tech will go down as they engage more in face to face talk, get to know the other side of your kid…..
