Making LeoFinance Fun: My Epic Failure

A few days ago @Whatsup mentioned how drab things have seemingly been in terms of articles coming out from the Leofinance community. It isn't about the quality of the content, but a perceived seriousness on the path of everyone. Really, if you give it a look yourself the place sometimes can be filled with financial advice, and technical analysis which can be a real brain buster for someone looking to lighten up after a stressful day.

What was proposed as the solution is the injection of a bit more fun into the community and Whatsup did so with some Memes. Since I came across that article, I have tried to come up with something a lot more light-hearted but Leofinance worthy to write about. I am not a fan of using memes even though I do appreciate a good one when used by other people, so the issue of memes was ruled out for me.

A few days have passed since then and I've been firing blanks on my attempt to come up with something humorous. Having thought hard about this, giving up may be a bit premature but it falls within purview to jump to some conclusions about why this is the case.

Finance is No Joke

Seriously, being broke is nothing to laugh at! Having nothing in the purse and running on empty can suck up all the humor in the atmosphere and make one allergic. What's there to laugh about when bills are mounting up, or having full knowledge that a substantial percentage of current problems can be solved with money?

I have tried to find humor in times where I have been financially stranded and ended up in an even more critical situation. Turns out laughter doesn't quite pay the bills.

So What Does Work?

Worry. She works like a charm. Being paranoid about constantly being broke even when you have money is the way to go. Yes it is a tad insane but best to be crazy with a full pocket, at least we'd have proper healthcare then.

Keep it at the back of your mind that you could be broke at any moment and let it ride you like a new bicycle on a test-run for Tour de France. Worry isn't good you say? Try keeping calm when you cannot pay the electricity bills.

I'll Laugh When Am Rich

The road to relaxation begins with a full pocket. It almost seems like taboo for anyone to admit they want their pockets loaded without some additional talk about value and whatnot. Even on Hive, admitting you like being rewarded is almost taboo so most of us just go about unassuming. Heck, even my jokes would be funnier when my pocket is full.

Conclusion

If this post did not at least make you smile know it's because I am still too broke. Perhaps my @meesterboom impersonation might be a failure, but I take solace in the fact that I have finally tried my hand at something different today - poor people jokes.

I won't mind more humorous finance stories on the Leofinance page though, someone make this a contest! Why not me you ask? Well that was kind of the point of this entire article.

haha! Well, you make some great points and I think it might take some time to loosen it up, it's not even just Leo it's basically all of Hive.

We just need to loosen the entire thing up a bit. No one wants to deal with people who are playing the game with sweaty palms!

:) Thanks for being a part of loosening it up some!

Lol thanks for the inspiration. It would be nice to come across something a little more light hearted here every now and then. That's why I guess Meesterboom is so popular.

Meesterboom and nonameslefttouse of course are 2 of my all time favorites! I think most agree!

I feel like I used to be funny too, but it's been a rough year, but I'm going to try to find it.

Worry. She works like a charm.

Yes, I can relate to that. I don't think I am rich or anything close to that, really, but I do have some cushion or safety net, if you will, in case things go south and yet I'm constantly worried that I can go broke and be homeless at any moment!

Sometimes I wish I weren't like that but, as you pointed out, it beats the alternative of being sane and penniless.

You aren't whacky enough to pull off @meesterboom as he is an original which they broke the mold after he was cast. Leofinance is kind of serious as it is a serious topic with loads of important things to be discussed. Funny you bought up quality as I have had to hunt for posts to read lately.

He really is one of a kind. I read content from pretty much the same people daily due to my limited time, so far I've not been disappointed. I would like to expand my scope and accommodate a few more people though, but we'll see how that goes

I agree you have to change some around from time to time and support others. My feed was full of splinterlands and I don't even play it so have very little interest in it except I hope it continues to grow.
