One of the neat perks about using this front-end for Hive, is they incorporated a badge system where communities and tribes can signify certain achievements within their own respective environments. If specific criteria is met, which is decided upon by the moderators and administrators of a particular sect, they may choose to imbue their members and participants with a badge that appears at the top of their profile. Like this:

The way to gain the coveted #pimpstatus, is to stake a minimum of 1000 PIMP tokens. If you have that, and do not see your badge, please let me know, I'll be sure you get yours too! PIMP can be earned by posting on the Pimp Media front-end, using the tag #pimp and being curated by a person with PIMP staked, or simply buying them on Hive-Engine or TribalDEX. Every now and again, I'll pop into random discord servers and pimp slap a few people too with @inertia's cool Banjo bot. That's always fun. 😜

What Do PIMPs Do?

We're just like you, only we're PIMPs. HA! 😎 PIMPs realize that at the end of the day, nobody pays your bills but you and so, we are trying to make the best of the entire Hive ecosystem by sharing 95% of our 'spoils' and earnings with our top 50 token stakers, not holders. As we grow, we know we'll have to add more plates to the table and feed the PIMP District. We are getting close already.

The way we do this, is through holding a shit ton of our own tokens, be they staked or what have you. Some of it comes from curating posts on Hive. Some of it comes from holding other lucrative tokens that also have similar models as us. Some of it comes from providing for liquidity pools and some of it just magically appears because I'm a fucking wizard PIMP. 😝 Here's what we're doing right now:

As A Witness

I've always tried to find ways to give back to the community(s) that have stood behind and beside me. I'm hoping that people see what I do and understand that in my beginnings - I too, had nothing. In @thealliance, we rarely have turned anyone away because we know it's hard to gain even a small foothold in this Hive arena. Similarly, as a #pimp, there are no qualifications for you to participate and work your way up to #pimpstatus. It's all on you and how far you really want to go.

Sharing is caring? It's all about community? Paying it forward? However you choose to look at it, you have to keep two things - an open mind and forgiving heart. You never know what is going to come, in the future, from someone you may have overlooked or taken for granted. The best thing you can do though, is REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when my hand is sore from slappin' hoez.
