Have you ever bought Maple Syrup from the store? You ever notice how runny it is? Regardless how many claim they are actual Maple Syrup, I've not encountered any. You know how I know?
Those pictures up there are from a jar of syrup that @snook made herself and sent me early early this year. You notice anything? Sugar crystals!
This is my favorite part of real Maple Syrup. The candy left behind on the jar of deliciousness will be enjoyed just as much as the liquid delight that I've been nursing all year on waffles, pancakes and glaze for the occasional meat. Thanks sis, love you!

I SO wish I had some more to send you. I am sorry last year we hardly got any but I AM very happy to see how much you really do love it and THAT makes me very happy!!
Oh heaven's yes. Been slapping my own hand that has a mind of its own that keeps trying to reach in and start in on the natural candy. 😁 It's on the top rail on the door of mine, taunting and teasing me all the time now. But I'm patient, it'll be my Christmas candy 😍
I think Hubby has the same idea because that jar was as far back in the fridge and it has been there a while. LOLL but he might come home to a few fewer pieces of candy! :D

It had been decades since I had a taste of the real deal and went a little bit overboard and killed the jar! LoL It was soooooooo good!
I used to look forward to maple rock candy with my Grandfather, when he was making homemade maple syrup. The good ol days fasho.

Well, pretty sure I wasn't getting any other real shiz around here so had to make it last a bit. I did pour some in my mouth and just let it sit there and roll around like a great glass of wine tho 😁
