Today I want to introduce myself in this community of people who like coffee as much as I do, despite my young age, I am a big fan of drinking coffee, this is the first post I write doing a review of a place, for this I studied a lot, seeing some reviews of coffee shops that experienced people wrote on this platform, before venturing to publish it, I hope you like it.

One Friday afternoon, after school, I went for a walk with my family to a well known mall in the city where I live, the idea was to distract us for a while and enjoy a nice moment, to replenish energy after a week of very strong final exams in the final stretch of school, which I passed successfully, so my parents gave me as a reward this walk.

There we discovered this new Ice Cream and Coffee Shop called Twins, which was recently inaugurated, its retro atmosphere reminded me of the movie Vaseline, which my mom always watches on TV.

It is a very nice space, and presents a varied menu where there are many types of coffee, desserts, sandwiches, ice cream and fast food, like spending a short time and making a snack.

The dessert that I chose on that occasion caught my attention, and that today I share with you in this post. It is an Italian style coffee ice cream or "Gelato" to be more exact, which seeks to imitate the presentation of cappuccino coffee.

The ice cream is made up of two serpentines, one brown, which has the espresso flavor, smooth, sweet and with a touch of chocolate, and the other, which is the cream, is basically a buttercream ice cream, but with a reinforced touch of vanilla flavor, and some additional ingredient that makes it especially creamy and not very sweet, which contrasts and joins perfectly with the coffee ice cream in the cone.

The combination of these two flavors is really spectacular, I really enjoyed the sections of this Italian style iced coffee, and I am sure it is likely to become one of my favorites soon.

According to what they explained to me, the ice cream base is prepared by themselves, with a traditional Italian recipe, without going into too much detail, they told me that they add gourmet espresso coffee to the vanilla ice cream base, and then they added a touch of chocolate ice cream base in secret proportions, with which they achieve the ideal consistency and flavor, which is sweet, but without being cloying, and where a coffee flavor predominates, friendly to the palate.

The white part is the traditional mantecado ice cream, to which they add a vanilla flavoring, which enhances its essential aroma, then they join it with a thick milk cream, which helps to reduce the amount of sugar that is perceived when tasting it, making it very creamy and tasty at the same time.

Regarding the place, I must say that it is superb, it is a relaxing and pleasant place, with soft music in English, small tables decorated with coffee beans, which also give a unique and impressive aroma to the place, very comfortable retro style furniture and a very friendly service.

An added value to highlight is the wonderful attention of its owner, an elderly lady, who emigrated to my country from Italy 30 years ago, according to what she told me, and who was very kind to allow me to take pictures inside her place.

If you have the opportunity to try a coffee ice cream similar to this one, I heartily recommend it to you, and may you enjoy as much as I did this delicious dessert in the company of my family.
