Érase una vez una bella sabana en el medio de África, donde habitaban una manada de leones, era un territorio gigantesco, en él convivían también un gran número de animales que le rendían tributo a su rey, el felino más poderoso de todos, Daniel El Grande.

Un animal inteligente, fuerte, bondadoso que ha librado mil batallas para defender a sus súbditos de cazadores, invasores y hasta de ellos mismos, administrando con sabiduría las decisiones y la comida para mantener el equilibrio. Ja ja ja bueno, al menos eso es lo que dicen de él en los cuentos que narran los escritores reales a los pequeños animalitos de las escuelas de la selva, para tratar de mantener en alto la imagen del monarca.

Un rayo de sol entra a la cueva del reino apuntando directo al ojo del perezoso león, que duerme plácidamente dentro de ella, a pesar de ser más allá del mediodía, con el sueño, todavía pegado a sus ojos, intenta ponerse de pie bostezando para salir al calor abrumador de su trono desde donde debe hacer la única tarea que tiene prevista en su complicado día, producir un gran rugido que se escuche hasta los límites de la sabana para demostrar que hay un gobernante capaz que sé preocupa por los animales brindando su protección, pero incluso eso le da flojera, el rugido realmente es solo para llamar a su esposa para que le traiga la comida que salieron a cazar en la mañana, ya que como de costumbre a esta hora siempre está muerto de hambre y son las leonas las que tienen la responsabilidad de viajar a la selva vecina para buscar las presas que servirán de alimento.

Sin embargo, este día es diferente, hoy un conflicto se presentará a sus puertas teniendo que asumir sus responsabilidades como rey, algo que hasta este momento nunca hizo dejando sencillamente que todo fluya. Su esposa Yarah regresa con el grupo de cacería sin traer nada de comida, cosa que causa mucha molestia en Daniel el Rey de la Selva que ruge molesto pidiendo comida y reclamando por qué las leonas no cumplieron con su tarea, pero todo cambia cuando su compañera de pelaje claro cae desmayada frente a él dejando ver las heridas que tiene en varias partes de su cuerpo, la sorpresa es evidente en el monarca que por primera vez en mucho tiempo se para de su trono de piedra para salir a abrazarla sintiendo como el miedo se apodera de él ante la posibilidad de perderla.

Las otras leonas de la manada de cacería le cuentan que los límites de la propiedad fueron invadidos y que un grupo de hienas las atacó de manera planificada poniéndoles una trampa que ninguna de ellas se esperó, ahora es casi imposible que puedan traer alimentos de la selva al lado, ya que estos feroces depredadores están a la expectativa y sin duda pronto empezaran a atacar a los animales del reino. Tan solo un par de horas pasaron y comenzaron a llegar a la cueva real un gran grupo de animales de la sabana que huían de sus casas aterrados por la invasión que hicieron las hienas en la mañana, donde resultaron afectados varios animales.

Daniel El Grande en ese momento sintió que su responsabilidad como protector de la sabana lo obligaba a enfrentar el peligro que los acechaba, aunque no tenía ni la más remota idea de como hacerlo, porque él fue coronado rey muy pequeño cuando su padre falleció, sin ni siquiera enseñarlo a pelear y mucho menos a ejercer sus funciones como gobernante, por eso durante todos estos años solo ha dejado que las cosas fluyan por sí solas refugiándose en la pereza y la comodidad de su título.

Antes de emprender su misión decidió llamar a sus dos hermanos para que lo acompañaran. Alex era el hermano del medio, era un poco más responsable, centrado y serio, Diego el menor el más alocado, al que solo le gustaban las fiestas y los juegos. Los 3 hermanos tomaron la valentía que su padre les dejó en su sangre para poder ir a solucionar el problema que afectaba la estabilidad del reino, sabiendo que dependía exclusivamente de ellos espantar a los invasores, pero teniendo en cuenta que eran animales agresivos y peligrosos que no debían subestimar, así que sin duda les daba algo de miedo, pero la responsabilidad en este caso valía mucho más que sus temores, además ellos eran los felinos más fuertes en kilómetros.

Al llegar cerca de la selva pudieron ver a solo una pareja de hienas alocadas y muertas de risa, eran las causantes del desastre, no había una manada, tampoco un gran desastre lleno de depredadores intimidantes, tan solo dos animales con hambre que se sintieron muy valientes al atacar a las leonas cazadoras, pero que al ver la presencia del Rey y sus dos hermanos temblaron de miedo, salieron huyendo como cobardes con tan solo escuchar un feroz rugido del poderoso león.

Esta historia nos deja la enseñanza de que siempre debemos cumplir con nuestras responsabilidades y no solo dejar que las cosas se hagan por sí solas como normalmente hacía el Rey león tan solo por flojera, además el valor en nuestro interior siempre será un apoyo para solucionar cualquier problema por más difícil que parezca, como paso en este caso que los agresores huyeron tan solo al ver que el rey y sus hermanos finalmente se ocuparon del problema y cumplieron con las responsabilidades de su cargo como gobernantes de la sabana africana.

An intelligent, strong, kind animal that has fought a thousand battles to defend his subjects from hunters, invaders, and even from themselves, wisely managing decisions and food to maintain the balance. Ha ha ha ha well, at least that's what they say about him in the stories told by the royal writers to the little animals in the jungle schools, to try to keep the image of the monarch high.

A ray of sunlight enters the cave of the kingdom pointing straight into the eye of the lazy lion, who sleeps placidly inside it, even though it is past noon, with sleep, still glued to his eyes, he tries to stand up yawning to get out into the overwhelming heat of his throne from where he must do the only task he has scheduled in his complicated day, to produce a great roar that can be heard to the limits of the savannah to demonstrate that there is a capable ruler who cares about the animals and provides their protection, but even that makes him lazy, the roar is really just to call his wife to bring him the food they went out to hunt in the morning, since as usual at this time he is always starving and the lionesses are the ones who have the responsibility to travel to the neighboring jungle to find the prey that will serve as food.

However, this day is different, today a conflict will present itself at his doorstep and he will have to assume his responsibilities as king, something he never did until now, simply letting everything flow. His wife Yarah returns with the hunting party without bringing any food, which causes Daniel the King of the Jungle a lot of discomfort, and he roars in annoyance asking for food and claiming why the lionesses did not fulfill their task, But everything changes when his light-furred companion falls fainted in front of him, revealing the wounds she has in various parts of her body, the surprise is evident in the monarch who for the first time in a long time stands up from his stone throne to go out and hug her, feeling the fear take over him at the possibility of losing her.

Only a couple of hours passed and a large group of animals of the savannah began to arrive at the royal cave, fleeing from their homes terrified by the invasion made by the hyenas in the morning, where several animals were affected.

Daniel the Great at that moment felt that his responsibility as protector of the savannah forced him to face the danger that stalked them, although he had no idea how to do it, because he was crowned king very young when his father died, without even teaching him to fight and much less to exercise his functions as a ruler, so for all these years he has only let things flow by themselves, taking refuge in the laziness and comfort of his title.

Before embarking on his mission, he decided to call his two brothers to accompany him. Alex was the middle brother, he was a little more responsible, focused and serious, Diego the youngest the craziest, who only liked parties and games. The 3 brothers took the courage that their father left in their blood to go to solve the problem that affected the stability of the kingdom, knowing that it depended exclusively on them to scare off the invaders, but taking into account that they were aggressive and dangerous animals that should not be underestimated, so no doubt they were a little afraid, but the responsibility in this case was worth much more than their fears, plus they were the strongest felines for miles.

Arriving near the jungle they could see only a couple of hyenas crazy and dead laughing, they were the cause of the disaster, there was no herd, nor a great disaster full of intimidating predators, just two hungry animals that felt very brave to attack the hunting lionesses, but when they saw the presence of the King and his two brothers trembled with fear, they fled like cowards just to hear a fierce roar of the mighty lion.

This story teaches us that we should always fulfill our responsibilities and not just let things happen by themselves as the Lion King usually did just because he was lazy, also the courage within us will always be a support to solve any problem no matter how difficult it may seem, as it happened in this case that the aggressors fled just to see that the king and his brothers finally took care of the problem and fulfilled the responsibilities of their position as rulers of the African savannah.
