Chasing Roses

It's June already and nature is providing us so many good photo subjects. On Sunday I thought it's time to go rose photo hunting to my favorite park as i saw some rose buds earlier in the neighborhood.

The park I'm talking about is huge and has quite a few places where there are roses and to my surprise I could only find 2 roses open.

This light orange was one of them. Poor flower is attacked by small bugs and no one cares. If we don't count the bugs, the rose petals are gorgeous. I like how the orange is getting more pale towards the upper side of the petal and how the texture shows.

This was the other one, in another place. It looks like the same type of flower, which lets me believe these are flowering earlier than the others. Knowing from previous years, there are red, yellow, white and tea roses in that park, so those are going to open later.

Even though this is just a bud, I love it. It's a great red, orange color and the raindrops on the shiny leaves are just adorable. There was a heavy rain the night before.

These buds need more time, so I guess I have to go back towards the end of the month and take some more photos.

These roses were outside the park and already open. If I were to choose between the yellow and the two tones, I'd choose the latter. I just love those colors.

This is it for today, I'm hoping to do another photo shoot in a couple of weeks, when the buds are already open.
