What Have We Learnt Over The Years?

Every time there's an airdrop, I can't stop thinking about how lucky we are. However, luck is playing a very small role in this whole business. Smart investing has everything to do with how you handle your finances. Let's recap what's happened so far, so you understand what I mean.

LEO

The first few LEO tokens we got in our wallets were the ones airdropped to us based on our PAL stake. To be more precise PAL came first and LEO after that. PAL being the first, second layer token (I hope I'm not mistaken), quite many had no confidence it's going to worth anything, trusting only HIVE at that time, therefore selling the PAL airdrop was what many did back in those days. Then LEO was airdropped based on PAL stake and those who sold their PAL stake previously had to realize you can't have the cake and eat it too.

CUB

Then came CUB, which was airdropped base on LEO stake. History has the habit of repeating itself and just like in case of PAL, many sold their LEO airdrop right away as they had no confidence in the project. Before the CUB launch, I remember the hype and the FOMO that was going on. People were buying LEO at 4 HIVE, just to benefit from the CUB airdrop. Then it turned out making CUB work for you was a bit more complicated, as it needed to be moved to CubDeFi, additional funds were needed to complete the transaction and in some cases it seemed easier to sell the airdrop, rather than deal with the whole staking process.

Looking at the daily CUB chart now, most likely this is not what most of the holders have been hoping for at the beginning as almost everyone wants every asset to shoot straight up to the moon, yet CUB is at $0.35 at the time of writing. If we consider the initial price, that was around $14 at the time of the launch, ...

There was some volume coming in last November, that was most likely caused by the news about the launch of PolyCUB, which drove the price to $0.7. Then we had this correction that lasted till a few days ago. As far as I know the audit is ongoing and as soon as it's over, the airdrop can happen. The last few days there was some volume coming in again and we're possibly going to see a higher high on the chart. RSI is at almost 80% already, so CUB is on its way to the top of the overbought zone.

According to BSCSCAN, there are 1,283 addresses.

If I look at the Leofinance community data, there are 1529 active users. Comparing the number of active users with the number of addresses, we have less CUB addresses than active users and there's a possibility some of these addresses hold no CUB at all.

Yet, CUB is not dead. Farms and Kingdoms are giving you a nice APR and APY, that will be valuable in the near future. CUB still needs to grow and those who want to make a nice profit, need to wait and accumulate now.

PolyCUB

PolyCUB airdrop is coming soon (yeah, the keyword is always soon) and the airdrop is going to be based on CUB holdings. In this case things are a little bit different as you can't earn CUB by blogging.

People have been posting about PolyCUB quite a lot lately and I've seen some salty remarks already, that PolyCUB won't be an instant success. There's a high possibility these people don't hold any CUB and that is causing the saltiness, or they just don't understand how these projects work in general.

Expectations & Reality

As I said above, expectations are always high, people want instant success, but what is instant success in crypto? Was BTC instant success? With crypto and investments in general there's no instant success. It can be instant success to buy some tokens at a good price but you still have to wait till the price goes up or you earn some APY, which takes time.

These projects need time to grow and the sooner you realize that, the better. BTC needed more than a decade to get where it is now and today we can say it is changing the world and one day crypto is going to replace the old obsolete monetary system.

Back to our platform and our tokens, in this post I tried to follow the events as they have happened and show you how one airdrop has led to another and those who have been holding their tokens and have been accumulating are now in a favorable position. Based on this pattern, there's a possibility the next leofinance airdrop will be bases on PolyCUB stake. Who knows? DeFi is the future.
