Rašica in first snow
It's not a lot of snow at this height. Just a white patch here and there in the forest. Yet it's a joy and a sign of weeks to come. Great!
Saturday morning, covered with clouds, a light drizzle, a few degrees above zero. Time to go out for a run.
The path took me through the Magpie's Valley and up to Rašica hill,
Above the village, the first snow patches appeared.
Running up, I choose the path below the trail I know leads to the top. Of course, the path ended a few hundred meters deeper in the forest.
No problem, hiking and running off-trail is a bonus. I went straight up and after some climbing, there was a familiar trail. Can you see it?
At the top the view was magnificent, not. I just climbed higher into the base of the clouds.
Did I tell you that I gave in to the Hoka craze? Here they are, Hoka Torrent shoes. They are light trail running shoes. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with how these shoes are light and have a firm grip.
From here it was a smooth run, mainly down the gravel road with a short trail section. Pure joy.
In the end, 15 K was more than enough. I loved it, every step and sight. Including this fellow.
