Some Live with A Map. Some Live Without A Map.

We have a strong society in 2021. And we have directions for almost every decision that we can make in the life. Like we have a compass or invisible map that we get in the form of the advice from the elders and the people around us. So that makes it easy for us to navigate around the society and the world in general.

So how does the life with and without map works?

Let's take a look at some points where we make use of map and some where we don't.

Map tells us When to Work, Marry, Have Kids and Die

Map that society guides us for tells us when and how long to learn. And when to get rid of the loneliness and when to get married. And when to have kids. And lastly when it's time to die. It's kind of invisible script that works for people to establish a family in their life. It's kind of like having a culture around religion or even around place you live in.

Without Map You Decide Work, Marriage, Kids and Retirement

A lot of people get married late. They do or don't have kids at all. And some even get retired before reaching 40. Some get retired by delegating the business early in their life. It's like they choose to go against society yet they choose how to live due to their power, education and the social influence because of which society does not create resistance in their life.

Maps are Not Progressive

Maps that we get handed over by the religion and the culture often don't stand the changing times. And so some of the time marriage age is limited to 25 in some cultures. Anyone crossing that would never get married and stay with parents forever. Some are like making not doing few things and keep things banned in the culture. So such maps are not progressive.

Lack of Maps Often Have No Breaks

When you navigate without maps, you don't know when to stop in life and what not to do. And so on often those reasons you look behind for the direction from those who have maps. And so religion and the cultures created around builds those breaks. And so having the map often is in advantage too. So it's always a flow followed over here.

Conclusion

Life can be lived with or without maps. And some of the time we have to figure out how to do things. And this also means we have means to find out what should be and should not be done. But lack of maps means lack of passing of knowledge due to lack of community. So how you live and should live question is often debatable.

How do you prefer to live life? With a map or without a map?

Map has always been our guide from the onset, starting from when we came into this world, we had our parents as our map..

The difficult aspect of maps is sometimes when we try to use the map, the environment and condition and some uncertainties does not really support it.. no one plans to be pregnant at 17 or becomes a drop out or stay without a job at 35...

I just feel sometimes we need map to live but if it doesn't work out we should try navigating without map for a while... 🤔
