Leofinance is the best place to find financial literacy education.

Hello everyone...

I was looking at the leofinance homepage this morning, and you can see the great excitement that XpolyCUB and vexPOLYCUB are causing, since an impressive milestone has been reached, as @leofinance mentions in the post: Nearly 50% of all xPOLYCUBs are now locked for 2 years, which shows the great interest of user investors and that the PolyCUB project is successful. The posts I liked the most were from @xabi and @ifarmgirl.

Now, investing in a bear market or in a recession like the one we are currently seeing is extremely important, as you are building something for the future that can be useful when things look better you will have something stable that will allow you to have a better income.

And something that is necessary for new users that come to leofinance is to teach them about financial education, since in the educational world, teaching about finances is totally non-existent. For example, at this time of year, many teenagers leave compulsory education, but as they do not have a financial education as a basis to start their journey through adulthood, they end up in unnecessary debt that ruins their future.

Others opt for a university degree, but of the 100% of young people who start a university degree only 15% graduate from what they study and only 3% get a job in what they study, while the rest work in the informal economy or start businesses that have nothing to do with what they study. Of course, I am not discrediting university education.

But what I am stressing is the enormous need for financial education in the population, and the truth is that educating a student population financially is not something totally complicated, in fact it is as simple as teaching them how to use money well, manage it to cover expenses, invest and look for ways to generate better income. An article like the one by @finguru where he taught you one of the most important lessons in finance: Quit Buying Crap You Don't Need And Invest Your Money.

One of the best financial literacy lessons for a 10 year old to understand is the 20 60 20, it's about dividing 100% of your salary into 3 parts:

  • 20% for extra expenses or incidentals although it can also be fun or paying off debts.

  • 60% to buy food, clothes, medicine, petrol or rent.

  • 20% for savings or investment.

Teaching children this concept from a young age will help them avoid financial problems or being debt slaves, as they will not be compulsive shoppers but will value the money they receive and look for ways to make it grow.

And that's the main reason why I'm sticking with the reading you can find in Leofinance, because the advice you find here from people who take care of their finances and know how to manage themselves well to avoid becoming debt slaves is very good. When I have a son I will teach him all the financial education and help him to create his own investment capital with Hive or leofinance, besides teaching him about blockchain technology that will be very useful for his development or to find a job that he likes.

Going back to financial education, it is important what is done in leofinance, because the access to the internet by the world population is quite high, and if you direct them to leofinance so they can learn everything they need to have a solid financial education, it can make a big change.

That's why I want to promote some publications with good financial education content through social networks, so that more people can benefit from what is shared here. Because what you can get in leofinance is pure gold.

Thank you very much for reading.

LeoFinance is indeed one best place to learn and earn. And I totally agree with your thoughts on encouraging the youths to learn about managing finances. I also like Fing's articles and wish more would read, take the nuggets from it and apply. There is a ton of knowledge in this community.

And thank you for the mention :)

Without a doubt it is a terrific place to learn (and earn while learning). There is a lot of things brewing and we are trying to really increase that with our focus on @leoglossary.

The Main Menu gives a lot of words to link to your articles for optimization. We want to get Leofinance ranking in the search engines.

Some examples:

Investing
Bear
Recession
Income
Finance
Debt

It shocks me how little financial education most people have. Most of my friends have bachelors and masters degrees but they’re absolutely clueless about investing and taxes. They think I’m insane when I tell them I don’t want to rely on a government to sustain me when I’m no longer able to work, nor do I want to work over the age of 50 😁
Tried to onboard them into leofinance but they don’t seem interested in learning about finance (crypto or regular). It should be a mandatory course in high school

That's right, I'm pretty sure that your friends when they have to face retirement will see a lot of problems.

That is why financial education from primary school onwards is necessary.
