Hello everybody...

One of the most important sporting events in the world of sports is the UEFA Champions League, a soccer league where different European clubs compete for the title of champion.

Recently, there was the final of the UEFA Champions League at the Stade de France, Saint-Denis, Paris. And although there was a champion that was Real Madrid C. F. What was most heard in the newspapers, internet, and news was not the victory of the Spanish club, but rather what was most heard in all the media, was the huge disaster that occurred in that match with the fake tickets and the disorder of the fans to enter the stadium.

And this huge disaster with the fake tickets at the final of the Champions League has the French government very worried, as they had to resort to the police to use tear gas to restore order which caused the delay of the match between Liverpool FC and Real Madrid. And this scenario has the government very worried because soon even more important sporting events such as the Rugby World Cup in 2023 and the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 will be held in France.

So in order to avoid incidents like those of the Champios League at the Rugby World Cup in 2023 and the Paris Olympics in 2024, the French government's emissary for the Olympic Games, Michel Cadot, presented a project to the French Prime Minister's Office, recommending the sale of tickets to the proxy events of the Rugby World Cup in 2023 and the Paris Olympics in 2024, in NFT format, in order to avoid disturbances at sporting events in the future.

This is a wonderful idea of how blockchain technology can be harnessed for uses beyond art or collectibles. Since the basic principle of an NFT is that it is a token that cannot be copied or counterfeited and no two are the same, this would completely prevent the sale of fake tickets like the ones that were in the campions league on May 28th. And the resale as it is foreseen that the tickets in NFT format will be non-transferable, which would also put an end to the ticket resale market.

The French system came up with a plan for ticket sales, foreseeing that tickets would be issued and distributed by text message shortly before the events and would be activated within a security zone around the stadium.

This is an amazing idea as it means that blockchain technology is being fully leveraged and more varied use cases are being established, and it could also be the start of a whole wave of ticketing for concerts, conventions, matches, etc. In NFT format, which would go a long way in combating the resale and counterfeit market.

It also means a more widespread adoption, since cryptocurrencies would be used to pay more easily and quickly. Another aspect that could be used these NFT tickets is to acquire merchandise in the form of NFT or physical collectibles, which would give a greater boom in product sales or royalties.

In conclusion, we are seeing how despite the fact that there is a market where there is extreme fear and where everyone abandons, blockchain technology is still useful in other fields, and these developments are the ones that help to normalize the markets and also achieve that there are increases in usage and adoption rates.

And you, do you think it is a good idea to sell tickets in NFT format? Would it positively affect the crypto sphere? Let me know your opinion about it.
