Week 7 Savings Progress Report for #Saturday Savers

Not surprisingly, I skipped posting about my #SaturdaySavers savings last week. It was a busy weekend last week. Full of dancing and happiness. Despite not reporting, I continue to Power Up 1 Hive every day, so I can collect another PUM badge on the first of March.
Content wise I guess I have been slacking a bit and on both accounts. I started questioning if posting long form on LeoFinance makes much sense anymore. My posts here rarely earn anything, while #threads are the main source of my Leo earnings. It's probably not worth it to spend time writing long form anymore, but I guess I'll observe for a little longer.
Let's look at my 2023 goals.

My HP is increasing at somewhat steady, yet way below my target rate. My content seems not as valuable anymore, as my rewards have dropped significantly these days. My 5565 HP goal seems far far away and I guess somewhere along the line I'll have to accept that I was overly optimistic about my HP growth in 2023. Today I have 704 HP, which is 70.5 HP increase since 2 weeks ago. With 35 HP per week increase, I am looking at 140 HP per month and 1586HP till end of 2023, which will give me 2290 HP total. Less than half of what I was aiming for. In which world was I dreaming to get 426 HP monthly to complete my goal? Monika's fairy tale world I guess ;)

2023 LP and Newborn Cub status
My Leo goal is also well on track. I participated in the second LPUD of 2023 with a nice number of 166.77 Leo staked, which is my monthly target to achieve 2023 LP goal by the end of 2023. I guess here I was much more realistic and #threading daily makes it a bit easier to accumulate my monthly goal requirement.

In the last couple weeks I have purchase 10k BUDS. Some for staking, so I can use the new tipping commands (KING and QUEEN) and some for purchasing seeds through the new system.
My order for a tiny amount of LeoMM came through, so I almost have 1 full unit of 🤣 I also sponsored 2 people into SBI, which means I have extra 2 Units myself too. I have added it, together with POB to my table. No goals as such for either, just want to track the progress.
Nice and steady progress with my #ALIVE tokens again. It's one of my favourite L2 tokens and it's easy to accumulate, as I'm active in #alivetribe community and use #aliveandthriving tag often.
#EDSMM tokens have sold out now and the only way to complete my goal of 10 is to win one :) Fingers crossed one day it happens.
Not a huge progress to report, but some progress nonetheless.

I will be honest and I am sure Eli will agree with me that long form posting on LeoFinance is hard to get rewards. It is a hit and miss, there are ways to help like delegating to India and then dropping your post in their discord. Generally though it needs consistent posting, and one reason I created a leo alt so I could purely post long form on that account. Threads is all the rage at the moment, but Hive is fickle, people jump on the latest bandwagon.
If you get down in the dumps, have a wee rant with us saving buddies and we can boost each other.

You’re most likely right Ed. It’s so weird seeing my picture with 1 sentence on #threads or even Actifit report getting more rewards than long post, but I guess that’s how we roll here 😉 Weird is the new normal!

I agree with that, Super Ed. And it's a bit frustrating to tell you the truth. And you know I'm not one to give up easily.
It's true that threads are the trendy bandwagon, and also the Greta meme earning was circumstantial. But seriously, if the Leofinance team wants to attract users to Leofinance they should try to distribute the rewards in a more equitable way, it seems that they only look at the same authors always, and that far from attracting, discourages people to join.
We will see how the threads evolve, let's hope the hype lasts in time.

Exactly Super Eli, ah well let's see what happens, once we get rid of this inactivity things might improve, well I am more confident they will.
I am back and hopefully more focused on Hive, and guess what, yesterday the shower broke, so now am waiting on someone to install a new shower!

What a karma Super Ed about the shower. I hope they fix it soon. First the boiler and now the shower looks like the plumber wants to visit you again and again but let's hope the streak stops.

Making progress which is the main thing. I have to say that I'm suffering from reduced HP payouts since the new year as well. I've also struggled to post as much which may also be the problem !!

Thanks fren. I see more and more people mentioning the same about the rewards. I guess I was a little spoiled for the first 3 months and with more and more followers each week I’d think the rewards would grow too, but that’s clearly not the case.
Oh well, we’ll continue to stack what we get until one day our vote will be worth $1 😁 Curation rewards will be juicy then 😍

Thanks sis! I enjoy #threads too actually. It’s easier to post a thread or two a day, even with both my accounts than to write the long form post.
I guess I’ll just stick to long posts on my main account. Some days I have a lot to say 😅

I hope you had a great weekend. I understand the frustration of Leofinance's posts, it's the same for me. It seems that it is more profitable to dedicate Leo's efforts to the threads.
As for the HP, don't give up, maybe 400HP a month is a lot to start with, but the numbers will improve as time goes by believe me.

It was an easy one without much going on.
When I did the calculations, Hive was at $0.29 and in the beginning my rewards for articles were really good, so achieving 400HP seemed very realistic, but the past month has been much less, which makes me question writing.
It takes many hours every day to create content and interact with many people regularly.
That usually happens, when you are new there is the support of Love Sniper but once you pass a certain level of reputation, you no longer qualify for LS votes. And sometimes become a little more difficult depending on the communities in which you usually post to get good rewards. But don't give up. It's part of the learning curve, I think. I don't get good rewards all the time, but I think there is potential so we have to keep going. ;)
