Week4 Progress report for #SaturdaySaversClub

I look at my wallet and I look at my goals and calculations in my 2023 goals article and I ask myself if I wasn't a bit delusional while setting those goals?
Total 5565 HP and Dolphins badge
5235 HP in 2023 means 436.25 HP per month and as I write this, 3 days till the end of the month I collected a total of 190 HP so far. That's not even half of my monthly goal. Of course, I wasn't counting on achieving this monthly figure from month one of 2023, but in truth, I was hoping I will land closer to 2/3rds of it, rather than less than half.
Of course, the increasing price of Hive has a lot to do with it. Hive was $0.26 at the time I was writing my goals article, while today I was buying Hive @ $0.40. I paid 3.55HBD for 8.853 Hive, which would give me 13.65 Hive at the price of Hive I initially calculated. No wonder my month end figures are way off what I was hoping to achieve.
Does it mean I shall give up on my goals?
Well, not so fast! I will continue with my goals for the next few months and see how far I get. If necessary, I will adjust the goals later in the year.
As someone smart once said:
Shoot for the moon and if you don't get there, at least you end up between the stars
I'm pretty sure I butchered the quote, but you get the idea. The idea is to aim high.
365 days HBD savings
One thing I can say for sure, is that my 365 days HBD savings are currently the ones suffering the most. I spent every little HBD I earn for my posts on buying Hive and later Leo tokens. My HP and LP accumulation are set as my priority goals, so these are the goals I am concentrating on first.
Meanwhile, my HBD savings are stuck at day 17. I'm not giving up on this either and I will be adding more as I go along, but for now I move it more to the bottom of my goals.
365 days GBP savings
My 365 days goal in my local currency - GBP is however well on track, although I'm away from home at the moment and I can't share the most up to date picture of my piggy bank with you, but I have one that I was planning to use for last week's #SaturdaySaversClub post, which never happened ;)
I have plenty of coins laying around the house and I decided to organise them all and start keeping track of those. At the end of the year I will have a nice stash of £667.95 which will come handy for my bucket list travels.
Here £2.31 (week 3 amount) nicely stuck in my home made piggy bank. Blue note indicates that £2 are in another location (bags on the first picture). Cause I'm anal like that 😉
2023 LP and Newborn Cub status
I am happy to report that #MyLeoGoals are well on track. I committed to staking 166.66 Leo on each #LPUD of 2023 and I staked 168 Leos on the 15th of January. I wrote about it here and as a result I was a lucky winner of 10 000 Leo Power, which sure helps with stacking those curation rewards in #Leo.
My strategy for achieving this goal was to earn whatever I can during the month and buy the remaining amount from the market. I knew that earning the whole amount from the get go was not feasible and I planned accordingly. I hope as the year progresses and my LP grows it will be easier to earn this amount from my daily interactions, at which point I will be able to concentrate more on growing HP.

First 4 lines I discussed already. My #ALIVE stash is growing nicely, as I'm active in #alivetribe community activities, including weekly staking and burning contests.
I purchased a few more #EDSMM tokens while they're available and I won 1 #EDS for something ;) I haven't purchased any other tokens, even though I am very, very tempted to do so, whenever I have a few liquid Hives.
Setting some very ambitious goals for myself and doing my best to follow up feels very... tight I guess. I wanna buy tokens, #NFTs, play new games, but instead I just keep buying Hive and powering up 1 every day. My future self will thank me for this #consistency, I'm sure 😍

I gave up doing the 365 savings daily as I always ended up forgetting 😂. So I will just settle in catching up.
Right why give up? The challenge has just started! We still have 11months to go, so early to retreat, lol
Whatever it takes to get there sis ;) I hope that once my HP stack is higher, it will be easier to save HBD and I'd rather have more Hive before it increases in price 💙

Step by step you are going to achieve what you have set out to do.
The truth is that when the Hive was lower I should have bought more to turn on.
I am struck by what you talk about #alive I also use most of the time that tag and I do not know what benefits it can bring.
Let's be consistent in the publications and we will already have where to save from.
I am literally spending every HBD I have on buying Hive every few days, so whatever I could buy at low rice, I already did :)
Yes, #ALIVE tribe have their own front end, where you can read all posts with their tags. They also have a timetable and great activities to engage with community every day. I purchased a little ALIVEM mining token, but other than this, all my ALIVE stash comes from engaging with the community. Here is an example of a staking post.
Posting regularly is easy for me while I'm on holiday, but with full time work, I don't always have energy to write more than 2-3 posts a week. Those days I mainly read and explore the other opportunities of Hive 💙

It would be a shame to give up, but of course it is up to you to decide what is worth your time.
For me Hive is an amazing place where there are countless opportunities to earn and writing is my tool to open up other doors. I love writing, but producing a good quality content every day is impossible for me on an average week, when I work full time. Some days I just read and curate other content or play games and learn about passive income tokens.
You have a nice stash of HP already sis, so you can put it to work. Curation rewards if done regularly stack up to nice amount every day/week/month. HBD in savings gives you 20% for nothing and it only takes 3 days to withdraw. Many games also give you a passive income for just holding their assets. Participating in various contests gives your profile more visibility.
If you're feeling frustrated about the rewards you're receiving, take a break. Read and explore Hive - there is so much to learn and so many ways to earn. The tags you pick can play a big role too. Check out the tags in good posts and experiment with them.
It helped me greatly to join the communities which topics I'm passionate about, like Fungi Friday or other nature communities. It's easier to make friends with people who love the same things as you. I write a post there every Friday, but I also love going through all the Friday posts to see mushrooms from allover the world.

Thanks my friend, for your words. Yeah maybe to stop for a while, I participated and won some contests and I was trying to put better hashtags and so on... but surely still much to learn I guess. I want to finish a couple of posts more about the trip to the north, and I will see because I start feeling as you say some kind of frustration and obligation, that cannot be. I love writing, a lot but I'm not enjoying now much.
It’s a trial and error and daily effort. This alt account that is for financial topics has very low rewards. I use it mainly for #threads to earn Leo tokens and I started to post daily #Actifit reports for their tokens too. I need to move more drop some weight and their app motivates me to make a minimum of 5k steps and post even the shortest post. It’s a slow grind, but as I interact with other people my following grows and rewards get better.
You have some great posts and wonderful pictures sis. It would be a shame if you stopped sharing them, so do whatever is necessary to bring yourself back to a happy place. The happiness is contagious 😍💙

I want that happy feeling again but probably as we are frequencies and those are like waves I'm down now jaja (maybe this comment does not make any sense 😅).

It makes perfect sense sis. When our frequency is low, our efforts feel like wasted and lead us the opposite to where we want to be. When my vibe is low, I withdraw completely. That's why you'll see like a 5-7 days gaps in posts and interactions at times.
I used to meditate daily, but somehow got out of this amazing habit. I replaced it with nature walks at least, plus dancing is also like meditation for me. Meditation can do miracles in our lives, just as much as attitude of gratitude 💙

Your goals are ambitious but not impossible. Hive is still far from the price it had when it started last year.
It's not a bit of advice but I'll tell you about my experience. In the first few months when I started to grow my account, all HBD earned was powered up, and I only started to look at Leo or other tokens in the second quarter of the year. I was also helped by the curation work. Now there are not so many contests where you can earn Hive, but participating in those activities also helps to accumulate a bit more.

Tell me more about curation work. How did you go about starting it? Does it require curating every single day?
I started it a bit by chance because I joined the Silver Bloggers community as a moderator, where I used to post frequently. The community belongs to the OCD incubation program and one thing led to another.
You don't have to do it every day, although the idea is to make it more or less constant.
I see. Maybe I’ll leave it till I have more time. And Silver Bloggers… what is it about?
A community for young heart people, haha. It's a community for people over 40s;)
